Chapter 806 Flipped
"It's our first meeting today. Next time we hang out, I'll make sure to get you a big gift, Chloe," Alice said, trying to sound sweet.
Chloe just nodded indifferently.
In this world, too many people were trying to win Chloe over with gifts.
Rachel looked at Alice's desperate attempt to please and thought, 'Yep, Alice is definitely new money, no class at all.'
Rachel turned to Chloe, "Let's head to the main hall. My mom's probably there, and your sister should be showing up soon."
Chloe nodded, "Yeah, let's go."
They walked off together.
Alice's smile disappeared once they were out of sight. Getting an invite to this socialite party was tougher than she thought.
In the living room.
Ruben came downstairs. Most of the guests had already left, just a few close friends and family hanging around.
Ruben shook hands with Nia, who looked just as tired, and her group left.
As they reached the door, a red sports car pulled up outside. It was a limited edition Ferrari, only ten in the world, worth $28 million. A woman in a smoky red Chanel suit got out, wearing sunglasses and looking super classy as she walked towards Nia.
"Mrs. Kamel, you're back," Rebecca said.
Nia recognized her; it was Rebecca, the eldest daughter of the Henderson family.
The Kamel family had ties with the Hendersons. Nicole Henderson, a cousin from the Henderson family, was part of the Kamel family.
Nia smiled, "Yeah, just got back."
Rebecca said, "I'll visit you at the Kamel Mansion tomorrow then."
Nia replied, "Sure. Bring Marcus and Zola along. I just love those two kids."
Rebecca smiled, "Absolutely."
With Nia were Nicole and Jennifer Kamel, the young ladies of the Kamel family.
They greeted Rebecca.
Nicole said, "Rebecca, we're heading out now."
Rebecca nodded.
After watching the Kamel family's car drive away, Rebecca walked into the Howard Mansion.
The Howard Mansion was all lit up, with artificial hills and flowing water. Even in winter, the garden was lush, and the air was filled with the scent of flowers.
Rebecca made her way to the main hall.
Adrian came down the stairs and saw Rebecca chatting with Ruben in the living room. Ruben was smiling. As Adrian walked down, Rebecca looked up, her eyes landing on Adrian's face, and she was momentarily stunned.
Ruben asked something with a smile, but Rebecca didn't respond right away. After she looked away, her heart was racing.
Adrian, with his hands in his pockets, walked over. "Ruben, I need to head out for a bit. I'll be back around midnight."
"Now?" Ruben asked. "Alright, go ahead."
Ruben knew Adrian had been busy all day. With so many guests over the past two days, Adrian was also tired. So he waved him off.
Rebecca smiled slightly, "Where are you going this late?"
"To watch a movie," Adrian said flatly.
Ruben said, "Yeah, a movie sounds good. Take a break."
Rebecca watched Adrian leave. He was tall, lean, and strong, and her gaze turned dreamy.
The Henderson family's two kids, Marcus and Zola, hadn't left yet.
When Rebecca was about to leave, she took the two kids with her. "Tomorrow, I'll take you to Mrs. Kamel's house to play."
