Chapter 1406 Pregnant

Jamie took a sip of the hangover soup. "I haven't been home much lately. If anything comes up, just contact Ingrid and she'll help you handle it. Whatever you want to buy, just tell her. You have my supplementary card, use it however you want."

"I understand, Jamie. You need to take care of yourself, too." Andrea carefully probed, "Jamie, still no news about Rachel? If there's anything I can help with, just let me know."

Jamie's eyes dimmed.

He shook his head.

Nothing.

He didn't know if Rachel was even still in this world.

He didn't dare to think about it.

He just wanted to keep numbing himself with alcohol.

If only he hadn't hung up when she called him back then, maybe things would be different now.

If only he had believed what she said.

Jamie kept sinking deeper into endless guilt and regret.

Two months had passed since filming began for "My Heart, Bright Moon 2."

They estimated another two months before the series would wrap up.

Scripts kept coming in, but Natalie turned them all down.

On set.

Lunch break.

After finishing her scene, Natalie went straight to her trailer. She hadn't been feeling well these past few days and had no appetite.

She didn't want to eat anything and had no energy. Usually, after filming, she would just go back to her trailer to rest.

Seeing her poor condition, Heather worried that she'd damaged her health from staying up late filming recently. She immediately made a hospital appointment and took Natalie for a checkup on Saturday morning.

Natalie thought Heather was making too big a deal of it.

"I'm really fine, just feeling a bit weak. Probably caught a chill from the changing seasons."

"That won't do. We need to get you checked out." Heather insisted on taking her to the hospital.

In the examination room.

After checking her over, the doctor ordered an ultrasound for Natalie. "Go get this done first."

In the ultrasound room, the doctor said, "Miss, you're pregnant."

Natalie froze.

"What?"

She couldn't process it.

The doctor said happily, "You're pregnant."

Natalie could hardly believe it.

She was actually pregnant.

She had hoped for this baby for so long, and she was really pregnant!

"Really? Could there be a mistake? Really?"

"Really." The doctor confirmed again.

Natalie cried tears of joy. She walked out with the ultrasound report. Seeing her crying and laughing at the same time, Heather thought something terrible had happened and got scared. But Natalie quickly pulled her into the examination room, where the doctor confirmed with a nod, "You are indeed pregnant. The embryo is already 5 weeks along. The fatigue and lack of appetite you're experiencing are all because of this."

Heather was stunned for a few seconds, then hugged Natalie.

"That's wonderful, wonderful! Natalie, did you hear that? You're pregnant!"

It was like someone walking in the desert suddenly being told there's a spring of clear water ahead.

Natalie pinched herself hard before she could believe it.

Heather knew this baby was Natalie's pain point.

And now she was finally pregnant.

Walking out of the hospital, Natalie immediately took out her phone and called Adrian.

But he didn't pick up.

Natalie called three times in a row, but he didn't answer.

She figured he must be dealing with something urgent.

She'd wait then, and surprise him when she went back next week.

She touched her belly.

Baby, this time, mommy won't let you leave me again.

Over the next week, Natalie consciously slowed down her pace on set, carefully watching out for things around her. When there were action scenes, she tried her best to do them herself, but there weren't many fight scenes that week. Heather also went to coordinate with the production team.
