Chapter 428 Wouldn't Stand a Chance
Alice chimed in, "He's from a solid family, a good match for Natalie."
Rosalie, always worried about her health, had been on the lookout for a boyfriend for Natalie. Seeing Natalie happy would ease her mind, but Natalie always shot down blind dates.
If the guy was from a good family and clicked with Natalie, Rosalie was all for it.
Alice added, "Rosalie, I'm just trying to help. You won't say no, right?"
Rosalie glanced at Alice, lying weak on the hospital bed, just recovering from a nasty injury. She couldn't say no. "Alright, I'll talk to Natalie."
Alice's face lit up. "Rosalie, I'm usually bored. If you can, drop by often. I haven't been sleeping well, even dreamt of you, remembering how you took care of me when I was little."
Rosalie smiled back. "Sure, I've been wanting to visit. You have no idea how worried I was when you were in a coma."
Rosalie was more than happy to visit Alice in the hospital every day.
After leaving the hospital, she hit up a farmer's market, grabbed some fresh veggies and meat, planning to cook for Alice the next day.
Meanwhile, back at the hospital, after Rosalie left, Alice smirked.
She pulled out her phone and found a contact.
Kenneth Zachary came from a good family but was a total slacker. A few days ago, he got busted with a prostitute and ended up in jail. Henry Zachary had to pull some serious strings to bail him out. Kenneth behaved for like two weeks before snagging a new girlfriend.
Kenneth's mom, Holly Zachary, always wanted Kenneth to find a good girl to keep him out of trouble.
Holly had played cards with Avery a few times and visited the Cullen family a few times.
The Zachary family had recently struck it rich but couldn't break into high society, though few dared to mess with them. The Cullen family hadn't worked with the Zachary family before, but after linking up with the Howard family and expanding their business, they started collaborating more.
Alice said, "Hey, Mrs. Zachary, it's Alice."
Holly asked, "Alice, what's up?"
Alice said, "Mrs. Zachary, does Kenneth have a girlfriend?"
Holly felt a headache coming on. "No, don't even mention him. Just thinking about him gives me a headache. Alice, I heard you woke up. I was planning to visit you. How are you feeling? Thank God you're okay."
Alice wasn't here for small talk; she had a plan. "Mrs. Zachary, I have a friend, Natalie. We grew up together."
Holly didn't really remember. "What's up with her?"
Alice replied, "Mrs. Zachary, Kenneth doesn't have a girlfriend, right? My friend is really nice. I want to introduce her to Kenneth. Her mom is our housekeeper, so we know her well. When's Kenneth free?"
Holly nodded. "Sure, I'll give you Kenneth's number. You can give it to Natalie. I don't care about the family's wealth as long as she's a good girl. Since you grew up together, she must be nice. I trust your recommendation."
After hanging up, Alice tossed her phone aside, turned on the TV, and watched a drama. Suddenly, her leg didn't hurt as much. Kenneth had chased her in high school. She didn't like him, but didn't reject him outright because of his family's status. Plus, Kenneth had given her several designer bags, and they had been kinda close for a while.
Natalie looked a lot like her, exactly Kenneth's type.
Kenneth was a real scoundrel. If he set his sights on Natalie, she wonldn't stand a chance.
