Chapter 1163 You Don't Think I'm Going to Kiss You, Do You?
"No, no," Natalie stammered.
Adrian was very close to her, almost pressed against her. Wrapped in this familiar and strong scent of hormones, her cheeks indeed felt a bit hot.
Anyone would be nervous in this situation.
Nervousness, wasn't it quite normal?
"You're blushing?" Adrian raised an eyebrow, his voice trembling and husky.
Natalie took a deep breath, "I just woke up, and I was drunk last night. It's normal to have a bit of a blush in the morning."
Adrian lowered his head, his gaze level with Natalie's, meeting her clear eyes and seeing his own reflection in her pupils. "You wouldn't be nervous because you thought I was going to kiss you, would you?"
"Of course not." Natalie wouldn't humiliate herself like that again.
Natalie's eyelashes lowered, and she clenched her hands.
She noticed that Adrian hadn't moved away.
She felt a bit at a loss, "I need to go out."
She couldn't help but push Adrian's chest with her hand.
Suddenly, her lips felt cool.
Adrian's lips were soft and warm, covering hers.
A kiss as light as a feather.
Adrian straightened up and went to the bathroom.
Hearing the sound of water inside, Natalie's face turned even redder.
She reached out and touched her cheek.
What did Adrian mean just now?
He did it on purpose!
Her cheeks burning, Natalie glanced at the bathroom door, grabbed her bag, and walked out.
In her bedroom, Natalie took a shower. Seeing that she was wearing a set of soft pajamas, she realized her clothes from last night had been changed.
There were only three people in the house, so it was either Adrian or Violette who changed them.
She thought it was probably Violette.
After all, Adrian was trying to keep his distance from her now.
Natalie blow-dried her hair until it was half-dry, changed into her own loungewear, and went downstairs.
Violette looked at her, "Mrs. Howard, you're awake. How are you feeling? I made some milk this morning, would you like to try it?"
"Violette, last night, did you help me change my clothes? Where are my old clothes?"
"It wasn't me, it was Mr. Howard. Mrs. Howard, you were completely drunk when you came back last night. I couldn't even hold you up; it was Mr. Howard who carried you upstairs."
As for the clothes, naturally, Adrian must have changed them for her.
Thinking of this, Violette smiled, "Mrs. Howard, I came over from the old mansion. I don't know much about you and Mr. Howard, but I do know that Mr. Howard's amnesia is temporary. Although there's some distance and coldness between you and Mr. Howard now, everything will be resolved once you get pregnant."
Natalie lowered her long eyelashes.
She also wanted to have a child.
Maybe it was her fate.
She had miscarried a child.
It probably damaged her uterus.
So it wasn't easy to get pregnant afterward.
"Mrs. Howard, today is Saturday. We need to dine in the main hall tonight." This was a weekly tradition for the Howard family.
Natalie knew and thanked Violette for the reminder.
Violette had prepared a very hearty breakfast. It was clear she had been studying the tastes of both Natalie and Adrian, even preparing two different breakfasts: one that Natalie liked and one that suited Adrian's taste.
Footsteps sounded from upstairs; it was probably Adrian coming down.
Natalie looked at the toast, fried eggs, a glass of milk, and a pastry on Adrian's plate.
It was a bit different from her Vistalia-style breakfast.
When Adrian came downstairs, Natalie was almost done with her breakfast.
Their eyes met, and she was the first to look away.
