Chapter 320 Miss, You've Got the Wrong Person

The man stopped dead in his tracks. Under his baseball cap, his eyes flickered. His fingers clenched and then relaxed. He stood straight, not looking back.

"Miss, you've got the wrong person."

He then walked briskly to a black Bentley and got in.

Susan tried to rush over but was held back by two bodyguards. One grabbed her arm, the other pressed her shoulder.

Susan gritted her teeth. "I know it's you, Simon! I'm Susan Taylor, don't you remember me? I'm Susan!"

She watched helplessly as the Bentley started. Frustrated, she broke free from the bodyguards and ran to the car, pounding on the window.

"Simon, Simon!"

"Open the door! I know it's you! I'm Susan. You promised to marry me when you came back! I've been waiting for you!"

Inside the car, the man looked at her familiar face. He suppressed the bitterness rising in his chest, pursed his lips, and told the driver, "Get going."

The car started slowly, and Susan chased after it.

The driver hesitated. "She's still chasing us."

Simon looked in the rearview mirror at Susan's determined face. His chest felt heavy. "Drive faster," he said hoarsely.

The driver stepped on the gas, and the car sped out of the parking lot.

Susan couldn't keep up. She stopped and collapsed, panting heavily.

She had been working here for four months, all to find Simon.

She had heard a bit of news, thinking there might be information about Simon here.

She kept looking for opportunities and finally found out about a mysterious boss whose style was like Simon's.

She waited until today, waited for him to come to the Imperial Nightclub.

Just from a back view, a side profile, she knew it was Simon.

He was still alive. He had come back.

He seemed to have forgotten her, their past promises dissolving like smoke in the wind.

Susan covered her face and cried.

Two bodyguards ran over, seeing Susan crying on the ground, unsure what to do. "Don't cry. It's not safe here with all the cars. You should get up."

"Yeah, don't cry. We didn't do anything to you. You just sat down and started crying."

Seeing she was in a waitress uniform, they figured she worked here. The two bodyguards looked at each other, shrugged, and left.

Natalie finished her tasks and went to Melody's office.

Melody was on the phone, responding nonchalantly, "Okay, got it, alright."

She glanced at Natalie at the door and motioned for her to sit.

Natalie sat on the sofa. After a moment, Melody hung up, walked over, and handed her a cup of water. "Have you offended someone recently?"

Natalie took a sip and looked at Melody. "Have I? Recently..." She couldn't think of anyone.

Melody asked, "Were you a servant for the Cullen family before?"

"Sort of. My mom was the housekeeper for the Cullen family, and I grew up there." Natalie was puzzled. "Melody, what's going on?"

Melody advised, "Be careful. Avery came to see me and asked me to fire you."

Natalie's grip on the cup tightened. Avery wanted her fired?
