Chapter 971 Sandra's Engagement

Alice was freaking out. She didn't have a ton of friends, just Diana who actually paid her any attention. So, Alice gritted her teeth and handed Diana a limited edition handbag, finally getting a smile out of her.

Diana said, "I got an invite from Sandra too. Heard her fiancé's pretty cool, son of a private hospital director, comes from a good family. Sounds awesome. If I could find a guy like that, I'd be stoked."

Diana wasn't like Alice, who was always dreaming of marrying into some ultra-rich family. She just wanted a decent guy she liked.

"What's so great about that?" Alice sneered.

Diana raised an eyebrow. "You sure you're going?"

Alice puffed out her chest. "Of course. Why wouldn't I? If I don't go, people will think I'm scared of her."

Diana knew Alice's temper. Alice was always arrogant, bossy, and sometimes just plain unreasonable.

"Alice, maybe you should skip Sandra's party. I can go and drop off a gift for you," Diana suggested, worried Alice might blow up and cause a scene at Sandra's engagement party.

Sandra's engagement party was set for Saturday morning, on a yacht in Vachilit.

Sandra and her fiancé had rented a yacht for the wedding.

Sandra's fiancé was Armando Gomez, the youngest son of the Gomez family. He was also pretty handsome with thick eyebrows and big eyes.

At the party, a bunch of Vachilit socialites showed up. Sandra, in her white wedding dress, looked super pure and beautiful.

Her eyes scanned the crowd and landed on Alice. After whispering something to Armando, Sandra walked over to Alice with a glass of champagne.

Today, dozens of media outlets were there.

As Sandra walked towards Alice, cameras started flashing and recording.

The socialites turned around and craned their necks to watch this.

Alice forced a stiff smile. She'd been burned by Sandra before and wasn't about to lose her cool again, no matter what.

Sandra, holding her champagne, said, "Alice, didn't expect to see you here."

Diana, trying to avoid drama, jumped in. "Sandra, you look stunning today. I envy you."

Sandra's attitude towards Diana was pretty good since they'd known each other forever. "Diana, your dress is amazing too."

Diana piped up, "Alice came to make peace. There was a little misunderstanding, and she wants to clear it up. Oh, and she brought a nice gift for your engagement."

"Really?" Sandra's eyes widened, covering her mouth. "Thanks, Alice. I thought you wouldn't show up. I mean, how do you have the cheek to come to my engagement party?"

Alice's face twisted, but she held back her temper. "Sandra, I'm glad you're okay. It was my bad for accidentally hurting you before."

Alice wasn't the future hostess of the Howard family anymore.
