Chapter 1168 Completely Different Lives

Because they believed in themselves and each other, and wanted to give the best to one another, they were unwilling to be tainted by the murky waters of the entertainment industry.

But even so, in the end, Penina still broke up with Caspian.

That day was Caspian's birthday. One of Caspian's songs suddenly sold for a good price, the platform's collection exceeded 100,000, and many companies approached him.

Caspian took the money and bought a ring for Penina. But when he got home, Penina broke up with Caspian.

Penina didn't want to live like this anymore.

She longed for fame, so she accepted an invitation from a CEO.

After that, Penina became an overnight sensation.

Meanwhile, Caspian gradually fell into a slump.

Although a few of his songs gained some attention, without a company, a plan, or marketing, he quickly faded away again.

From then on, their lives took completely different paths.

At 9:30 AM, Derek arrived at Old Radiant Sky Mall to supervise and discuss the third-floor layout with several designers.

Old Radiant Sky Mall has a total of 17 floors.

Previously, six floors were opened as a commercial center, with staff and executives on the 7th and 8th floors. The remaining floors were rented out.

Each floor originally had a different decor style, but now they all needed to be unified.

By the time the design plan was finalized, it was already noon.

Derek's phone rang.

He picked it up and saw it was an unfamiliar international number.

Derek looked at the phone.

A staff member nearby said, "Derek, why aren't you answering the phone?"

The construction noise was very loud.

Derek walked outside Old Radiant Sky Mall, kept walking until he was a bit farther away, and then called back.

"It's me, Stefan Hensley."

"Stefan, it's you. I thought it was Eddy Bowers."

"This is indeed Eddy's number. Eddy is in trouble. Can you come to Solstice?"

"What happened?" Derek frowned but didn't immediately agree.

"Eddy was taken onto the Ocean Harmony and is now missing."

Derek knew what the Ocean Harmony was.

It was a cruise ship on the Solstice border canal that sailed once a month.

A specific group of people could enter, but getting out was difficult.

Unless they completed the assigned tasks.

It was a high-risk, high-reward situation.

"Why did Eddy go in?"

"To seek an answer," Stefan said. "Given Eddy's skills, he promised to come out within ten days, but it's already been ten days."

The Ocean Harmony opens every ten days, allowing people to enter and exit.

But only on that day; if they miss it, they have to wait another ten days.

Stefan and his team suspected that Eddy encountered danger inside.

Derek squinted slightly. "Stefan, if you don't tell me the specifics, I won't agree to help."

Stefan hesitated because they had all signed confidentiality agreements.

The air was tense for about two or three minutes.

A voice came from the other end of the phone, "Stefan, if you won't say it, I will."

"I'm Eddy's daughter, and I'll take responsibility for the consequences. Right now, I just want to see my father and hope he's safe."

The woman's voice had a hint of sobbing and trembling.

"Derek, it's me, Briar Bowers. Please help me, save my dad."

"Briar, I need to know everything about why Eddy went to the Ocean Harmony. You can't hide anything."

"Okay, I'll tell you." No confidentiality agreement was more important than her father's life!
