Chapter 328 Not Suitable

Rosalie smiled.

James gave an awkward smile and glanced at Natalie. "My mom's just like that, don't mind her."

Natalie tucked some hair behind her ear and said calmly, "I don't have the same advantages as you. I work nights as a waitress at the Imperial Nightclub. My pay is much lower than yours."

James nodded. "Yeah, Mrs. Harrison mentioned it." But Natalie sensed a bit of superiority in his eyes, like he looked down on her job.

Natalie didn't get upset.

Jasmine seemed annoyed. She looked at Sierra and said, "Sierra, why'd you introduce a waitress to my son?" She glanced at Rosalie, noticing she was making things awkward. She quickly apologized, "I don't mean it like that, don't get me wrong."

Rosalie pulled a long face.

Sierra was surprised to learn Natalie worked at the nightclub. How could a waitress afford to live in the Blue Mountain Community?

Maybe Jasmine's voice was too loud.

James glanced at Natalie. He liked her looks. Despite her ordinary job, she caught his eye. His mom had been pushing him to find a girlfriend, but none of the girls at work were as beautiful as Natalie.

Apart from TV celebrities, this was the first time James had seen such a beautiful girl in real life.

Her job didn't matter; he had a good one himself.

"Mom, what are you talking about?" He smiled at Natalie. "Don't mind my mom. I definitely don't think that way."

Jasmine glanced at James, worried he might fall for Natalie. She had invested a lot in his education, and now he worked at NexGen Innovations Inc. Marrying a waitress seemed like a waste.

She couldn't accept it.

She pulled James aside. "James, I'll find you a better girl next time. Let's go."

James usually relied on Jasmine, but now his gaze was drawn to Natalie. Her bare face, untouched by makeup, revealed a beauty that took his breath away. "Mom, I think Natalie's great. Stay out of it."

Natalie sat quietly, looking out the window.

Sierra said to Rosalie, "Sorry, Rosalie, Jasmine has a temper."

Rosalie, usually gentle, didn't smile. Natalie was outstanding but was being picked on by Jasmine. Rosalie shook her head and stood up. "Natalie, let's go."

Natalie stood up. "Okay."

She glanced at James and Jasmine. "We won't bother you anymore."

"Natalie, don't go." James quickly grabbed her hand, then let go, embarrassed. "Natalie, I don't agree with my mom. I think we're a good match. I make good money."

Natalie said directly, "I don't think we're suitable."

"You spoke my mind," a male voice suddenly said.
