Claire turned to the manager and said, "From now on, whoever books it, gets it. Doesn't matter who they are or how big their name is. We gotta run this place with some integrity, especially for our loyal customers. Ms. Torres has dropped a ton of cash here, and surely deserves better service."
"Of course," the manager kept nodding.
Hearing this, Claire lost her shopping mojo and got more confused about Alice.
Meanwhile, over at the hotel, two bodies were tangled up in bed.
Afterward, Alice snuggled into Carlos's arms, looking worried. "Carlos, I think Adrian's onto us. I overheard him talking to Claire about you earlier."

Alice explained, "Last week at the Howard Family dinner, after the meal, I was outside Claire's study and heard Adrian talking about you."
"So what if he did? Chill out. I've been with the Howard Family forever. Dropping my name ain't a big deal." Carlos was nervous but tried to play it cool, blaming Alice for overreacting.
"I'm just worried," Alice pouted.
Carlos said assuringly, "What's there to worry about? I got this. Frank's in my pocket, and all those videos of you are gone. The docs who did your checkups are in Emberlyn now. What are you stressing about?"
Alice bit her lip. "We should cool it for a bit. If Adrian finds out, we're toast."
Carlos scoffed, "How's he gonna find out? I only swing by a few times a month. Sounds like you're just looking for a reason to ditch me."
"No, that's not it, Carlos," Alice said softly, "I'm just scared. We've been plotting this for ages. If we get caught now, it's game over. You wouldget nothing, and my future would get wrecked. How could I leave you? You're the only one I care about. Even the baby was yours."
Talking about the baby, Carlos sighed, "Yeah, it's a shame about that kid. If we hadn't... you know, it would be a year old now."
Carlos's guys were keeping watch outside the room.
A dude in casual clothes walked into the elevator. After leaving the hotel, he shot off a message: [Carlos is at the Hilton, in Alice's room.]
Brice got the message and immediately told Adrian.
Adrian didn't expect Alice to be so eager to see Carlos.
A flash of gloom crossed Adrian's face. 'Alright, if that's how you wanna play, don't blame me for what happens next.'
Meanwhile, netizens were voting for the top characters in campus youth movies, open to both leads and supporting roles.
The vote was kicked off by a movie blogger with over ten million followers. It was blowing up.
One of the nominees was Natalie, who played Luna. She didn't have many scenes, but she nailed every one.
The voting was open for a week. Only one day in, and first place was Penelope, who played a college senior.
Second place was Denise, a popular actress who played a beauty in high school.
Surprisingly, third place was Natalie, who played Luna, already racking up over ten thousand votes.
Since Summer Time dropped, Natalie had been flooded with school drama scripts, but she wasn't biting. Some roles are best done once.
Doing them over and over might backfire.
