Chapter 354 I Didn't Bully You, Did I?

Natalie suddenly felt her chest tighten and her heart race. She gripped her utensils so hard her knuckles turned white, but she didn't even notice.

Raymond said he lost his memory after a car accident at 15 and had been living with his grandmother in Verono since then.

He had a scar on his back where his birthmark used to be.

After hanging up, Raymond put down his phone and said, "Sorry, a friend called." It was a bit rude to take such a long call during a meal.

But when he saw Natalie's eyes turning red, he was stunned. "What's wrong? Why are you about to cry again? You look beautiful when you cry, but I didn't bully you, did I?"

Natalie was just really emotional.

She didn't know what to say. She felt both excited and scared, afraid she was getting her hopes up for nothing, thinking it was a dream, yet she was overwhelmingly excited.

"I..." She forced a smile. "I'm not crying."

Her smile was forced but cute. Raymond handed her a tissue. "Alright, don't cry. I didn't do anything to you."

Natalie took the tissue and wiped her tears.

Raymond thought Natalie was a bit strange. When they first met, she insisted on seeing his driver's license, which was odd and troublesome, like other women trying to get close to him. But she was also unexpectedly cute and pure. There was no ulterior motive in her eyes, and he didn't mind spending time with her.

"Your eye makeup is smudged." Raymond smiled, stood up slightly, and used a tissue to wipe the corner of her eye.

Natalie was stunned. "I'm not wearing makeup."

The door to the private room opened, and a waiter led a man and a woman inside. "Sir, Miss, this way please."

Adrian, dressed in a black tracksuit, exuded an extraordinary aura. Alice wore a pink floral dress with a wool fringe shawl, her belly prominently showing. She walked in, holding Adrian's arm.

Adrian immediately saw Natalie sitting at a table directly facing him, with another man gently wiping her eye with a tissue. She seemed to have been crying, and the man was comforting her.

Adrian's eyes narrowed sharply.

Alice, however, didn't notice. The Howard family had arranged for her to have a prenatal checkup this morning. They were very concerned about this child, arranging checkups every few days, fearing something might go wrong.

Alice could only agree.

Fortunately, Carlos's men had been secretly helping her cover up, and there hadn't been any problems so far.

The more the Howard family cared about this child, the more anxious Alice became. The baby would be born in just two months. She could temporarily hide the truth now, but once the baby was born, there was no way they could hide the DNA results from the Howard family.

Originally, Adrian wouldn't accompany her to the checkups. She hadn't seen Adrian in ages, so she'd had the doctor play up the baby's condition, just to get him to come.

"How about we sit over here?" Alice looked at an empty table and was about to walk over with Adrian. She liked sitting by the window, but when she turned her head, she saw Natalie sitting with a handsome stranger.

Adrian was also looking in that direction. Alice gritted her teeth. "Adrian."

The call of "Adrian" was neither too loud nor too soft, but Natalie heard it too.
