Chapter 498 Argument

Samantha checked herself out in the mirror, surrounded by a bunch of people, like she was some A-list celeb or something.

She wasn't feeling it. "Cherie, fix my eyeliner. It's way too long."

Cherie looked a bit stressed. "This is how the magazine wants it. Today's look is supposed to be bold and extra. You look awesome, Samantha."

Samantha asked, "For real?"

Tessa jumped in, "Yeah, Samantha, you look amazing today. Totally like the main star."

Samantha finally cracked a smile. "I don't get it. Why'd the company make me come here with Natalie for this shoot? It's such a drag. I'm the lead actress. Does Natalie even deserve to be in the same shoot as me?"

Cherie frowned. Samantha really didn't hold back. The studio was loud enough for everyone to hear. She glanced over at Natalie, who was chilling on the other side, scrolling through her phone while a makeup artist worked on her. Natalie seemed totally unfazed by Samantha's shade.

Tessa, feeling bold, added, "Samantha, she's just a sidekick. You're on a whole different level. Doing a shoot with her is a joke."

Cherie wasn't the only one annoyed; the assistant editor and the photographer were also frowning.

An assistant being this bold? Seriously?

Heather couldn't take it anymore. "Tessa, what do you mean by that?" She confronted Tessa head-on.

Tessa, standing behind Samantha, didn't seem scared. "I'm just being real. Samantha should be shooting with the second lead. Who wants to do a magazine shoot with a fourth lead? It's embarrassing."

"Apologize to Natalie!" Heather wasn't backing down.

Tessa refused and looked to Samantha for backup.

Samantha turned to Heather. "Heather, Tessa's just speaking the truth. What are you doing? Messing up the shoot?"

"Samantha, Dynamic Entertainment Media doesn't revolve around you. This movie isn't just about you. If you don't want to shoot the magazine here, talk to your agent. You took Natalie's makeup artist without asking and threatened not to shoot if Cherie didn't do your makeup. You're the one causing trouble!"

The studio was packed, mostly with magazine and business folks.

This could get messy, and everyone was watching.

People started whispering and gossiping.

The assistant editor's face darkened. She could tell Samantha was going to be a handful.

Samantha didn't expect Heather to call her out in public. She stood up so fast Cherie almost messed up her lipstick and jumped.

Samantha yelled, "Heather, you really don't know your place. If you don't want to stay at Dynamic Entertainment Media, then leave. How dare you talk to me like that!"

Heather had had enough of Samantha. This time, Samantha let Tessa bully Natalie in front of everyone. She knew Natalie was nice, but she couldn't take it anymore!

Heather shot back, "Samantha, Natalie is also an artist at Dynamic Entertainment Media. Tessa needs to apologize to Natalie! And you need to own up to your words!"

Samantha snapped, "Apologize to her? Does she even deserve it? And you, who do you think you are to tell me to apologize?"
