Chapter 361 Introduction (1)
Over three decades, Victoria climbed the entertainment ladder, transitioning from a celebrated actress to a successful producer and ultimately, a celebrated director. She was super popular, and her lectures were always packed. She didn't lecture often, but this time she agreed because she was tight with the president of Vachilit Film Institute.
Natalie sat near the back, expecting a big crowd, and had brought her glasses. Putting them on, she could see much better.
Victoria hadn't shown up yet, and there were about five minutes left before the lecture started. The hall was almost full, but it was pretty quiet—just footsteps and the rustling of clothes. Everyone found a seat and sat down quietly, with only a few whispers here and there.
"Excuse me," a man said softly as he approached.
Natalie stood up to let him pass, and he thanked her.
At 2 PM sharp, Victoria arrived.
The hall buzzed with excitement.
Victoria was dressed casually in a simple ash-gray tracksuit, but she still looked elegant with her sharp, bright eyes. Even in middle age, she kept in great shape, was tall, exercised regularly, and wore light makeup, keeping her skin in top condition.
She walked to the podium and scanned the room. "I'm thrilled to be here today, invited by the president, to give this lecture. This is also my Alma Mater. Everyone here is either a friend who loves acting or a student from this institute. I'm happy to have this conversation with you."
Some young students were thrilled to see Victoria. In the entertainment world, she was top-tier. On stage, she had a powerful presence but didn't seem arrogant.
Natalie took out a pen and started jotting down important points.
Just a few words from Victoria cleared up a mystery for her.
Victoria's lecture lasted only two hours, but Natalie took a lot of notes. When she first started acting, Kevin had told her she had natural talent and was suited to be an actress.
However, her acting wasn't flawless, and she still had room for improvement. Details, subtle expressions, every move, the way of expression, and body language were all crucial.
At 4 PM, Victoria's lecture ended. The crowd surged forward, a wave of ambition and desire: students hoping for a word with the legendary Victoria, celebrities seeking to expand their networks. Bodyguards quickly separated them, and Victoria left the hall.
As the crowd thinned out, Natalie stayed back, not in a hurry to leave. She waited until most people had left before getting ready to go. Suddenly, a male voice beside her said, "You've taken so many notes. How about I take you to meet her?"
Natalie was surprised and turned to look at him.
The hall was almost empty, with just Natalie and this man left. She looked closely. "Mr. Russell, is that you?"
Samuel was wearing a black mask and a baseball cap, wrapped up tightly.
Samuel stood up. "You didn't recognize me?"
Natalie lowered her eyes. "Sorry." She hadn't paid much attention to her surroundings.
Samuel chuckled. Though it was hard to see with the mask, his eyes crinkled slightly. "I recognized you right away."
Natalie was easy to spot.
Despite wearing a mask, Samuel recognized her by her figure and demeanor.
Her aura was different from others.
"My bad, sorry, Mr. Russell." Natalie looked at him, thinking she was in his way, and quickly stepped aside. Suddenly, she got a bit excited, asking, "What did you just say?"
Samuel stood up. "I said, I'll take you to meet Ms. Richardson."
