Chapter 1097 In a Tough Spot

Bella's eyelashes fluttered. "Really? Thanks, Liliana."

In such a tough spot, the news that Natalie was safe was the sweetest relief Bella could have wished for.

Liliana nodded. "But Mrs. Reynolds, you gotta finish this bowl of soup."

"Alright." Bella agreed, even though she still wasn't feeling hungry.

Meanwhile, over at the Star Entertainment Building...

In the office, a woman in a blue bow blouse and jeans was sitting on the couch, touching up her makeup with a mirror. Her assistant popped in now and then to hand her coffee and snacks.

Delilah Roberts glanced at the assistant. "When's Mr. Reynolds getting here?"

The assistant replied, "Mr. Reynolds will be back soon, Ms. Roberts. Please wait a moment."

The assistant didn't dare to slack off around Delilah. After all, Delilah had been by Nicholas's side for over six months. The industry buzzed that she was Nicholas's "girlfriend," and she was also the heiress of the Roberts Group.

Nicholas had gone to a meeting room for a last-minute meeting, which had been going on for about ten minutes. He was expected back any minute now.

Sure enough, after ten minutes, Nicholas walked in.

Seeing Delilah in the office, Nicholas took off his suit jacket and casually hung it on the coat rack. "What brings you here?"

"Mr. Reynolds." Delilah stood up and walked over, holding Nicholas's arm. "I have a movie premiere tonight. Will you come with me?"

"I've got plans tonight."

Delilah pouted. "Mr. Reynolds, what's more important than my movie premiere? I've booked the whole theater."

Nicholas's eyes fell on his phone on the desk, noticing it had moved. He looked at Delilah. "Did you touch my phone?"

Delilah said, "The phone was ringing loudly. I thought it was important, so I answered it, but I couldn't understand what the other person was saying, so I hung up."

Seeing Nicholas's blank expression, Delilah felt a bit scared.

But back when Nicholas became the VP of Star Entertainment, the Roberts family had helped him out.

At that time, Delilah was still an artist signed with Skyline Entertainment. Even though she came from a wealthy family, she joined the entertainment industry just for fun, with plenty of resources as a rich heiress.

She liked Nicholas, so she signed with Star Entertainment and even had the Roberts Group invest $200 million in the productions Nicholas was handling, which helped him secure his VP position at Star Entertainment.

Seeing Nicholas's displeased expression, Delilah thought he was mad. She pouted her red lips. "Mr. Reynolds, are you mad at me?"

Nicholas's blank face softened into a slight smile. He held Delilah's hand. "I'm just not used to someone else answering my phone."

Delilah breathed a sigh of relief. "Mr. Reynolds, you scared me."

"Sorry." Nicholas raised his hand and gently pinched Delilah's cheek. "Didn't you say your movie is premiering tonight? I'll go with you, but I still have some work to finish now. It's not evening yet, so I'll come to you later."

"Okay, I'll wait for you." Delilah said, "I won't bother you here then."
