Chapter 569 Rosalie Kneels

Rosalie was totally floored by what she just heard. She dropped her laptop like it burnt, got down on her knees in front of Natalie, and begged, "Please, let Alice go. I'll take the fall for her. I'm begging you, okay? Just let her go."

Natalie's throat felt like it was in a vice. She stared at Rosalie, who was groveling on the floor, begging non-stop. Natalie took a couple of steps back, feeling a bit woozy. It was like a chunk of her heart just crumbled. She didn't want to cry, and she didn't feel any pain.

It was like a cold hurricane was howling inside her, tearing through the hole in her heart.

Rosalie was on her knees, pleading for mercy, while Natalie kept a stony face. She turned to Heather and said, "Heather, get the bodyguards to take her out. Oh, and in three days, set up a press conference. Rosalie, I'm dropping this video in three days. No one can stop me, unless..."

She gave a bitter, cold smile, her red lips curling up slightly. "Unless I'm dead."

Heather didn't rush to get the bodyguards. She waited a bit, worried there were too many reporters outside and Rosalie might blurt out something stupid. She told the driver to get Rosalie home safely.

Natalie headed back to her lounge.

She felt completely wiped out.

Natalie could brush off the nasty comments online, but Rosalie's attitude really messed with her head.

Heather seemed to notice she wasn't doing great and walked over. "Natalie, don't stress about this stuff. Just rest for a bit."

Natalie sighed, "Heather, sometimes I feel like such a screw-up. I feel so miserable, but I can't even figure out where it hurts. It's like I'm in so much pain, but I can't pinpoint it."

Natalie crashed on the sofa. Heather grabbed a blanket, covered her up, and held her hand. "Sleep. You'll feel better when you wake up. I'll get you when it's time for dinner."

Natalie nodded and quickly dozed off on the sofa. She looked genuinely beat.

Heather stayed by her side until she was fast asleep. Then she got up slowly, tucked the blanket around Natalie, and stepped out to the balcony. She pulled out her phone and called the driver.

The driver confirmed Rosalie was home safe.

Heather shot a text to Yancy: [I might be a bit late tonight.]

Yancy replied fast: [Got plans?]

Heather texted back: [Gotta stay with my boss. She's asleep.]

When Natalie woke up, it was around 7 PM. Heather had set out some food on the coffee table. After her nap, Natalie felt a lot better.

She was kinda hungry but didn't have much of an appetite.

Natalie said, "Send the video to my phone."

"I already did. Natalie, are you really gonna drop this video at the press conference in three days?" Heather asked.

Natalie bit her lip. "Honestly, I don't know."

Heather suggested, "Maybe you should send the video to Mr. Howard first."

"Send it to Adrian? Will he even believe me?" Natalie closed her eyes. "I'm scared Adrian will just believe Alice, like Rosalie does."

Heather said, "He won't. I think Mr. Howard likes you. I can tell. It's definitely more than just a fling."

"Heather, you don't get it. Adrian and I are just a business deal. I give him my body, and he gives me resources," Natalie said, a bit bitterly.

Heather shook her head. "No, it's not like that," she insisted. "Natalie, trust me, Mr. Howard's feelings for you are different from that."
