Chapter 1265 Gentle and Vague Whispers
The next day, Natalie had a full day of filming. To make time to spend with Adrian, she consolidated her scenes for the following two days into tomorrow.
She had to be on set promptly at 8 AM. That evening, Natalie tidied up Adrian's bedroom before returning to her own room.
She lay on her bed, reading the script and memorizing her lines for the next day.
But Natalie couldn't fall asleep.
She raised her hand to rub her temples, closed her eyes, but still couldn't drift off.
Natalie feared she might have insomnia tonight.
If she did, her condition would be poor in the morning, affecting her on-camera performance.
Natalie opened her bedside drawer, fumbled for a box of sleeping pills, took out two, and swallowed them before lying down again.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door.
At first, Natalie thought she was hearing things.
But the knocking continued.
Natalie sat up, walked to the door, and opened it to see Adrian standing outside.
Adrian was wearing a black T-shirt and black athletic shorts.
His hair, no longer held by gel, fell loosely, with a few strands hanging over his forehead, giving him a lively appearance.
He looked at Natalie, "The bathroom in the side room is broken. Can I use yours to take a shower?"
"Sure." Natalie stepped aside, letting Adrian in.
Adrian went straight to the bathroom.
Natalie looked at the frosted glass door.
Despite being married, she felt her heart race and her face flush like a girl experiencing her first love.
The sound of water from the bathroom echoed in Natalie's ears.
Lying on the bed, the sleeping pills began to take effect, and she slowly closed her eyes.
But mentally, she tried to stay awake until Adrian finished his shower.
Natalie eventually fell asleep.
After his shower, Adrian dried his hair with a towel.
He noticed the various skincare and makeup products on the vanity, Natalie's light pink toothbrush cup, her favorite cherry blossom-scented shampoo, and a light pink bear towel.
The entire bathroom seemed to carry Natalie's presence.
A faint smile appeared on his lips.
His eyes softened.
He put on his black T-shirt and walked out.
He saw Natalie asleep on the bed, the blanket trapped under her.
Adrian walked over, lifted her, placed her head on the pillow, and pulled the blanket from under her to cover her.
Natalie lay on her side, her hair covering her face. Adrian gently brushed her hair behind her ear, gazing at her sleeping face.
Her skin was clean and delicate. Without the light on, the dim glow made her face look even more exquisite.
She was sleeping soundly, her breathing steady.
"You said you had something for me, but you fell asleep first."
Adrian reached out, a mischievous smile in his eyes, and pinched her nose.
Watching her breathe through her mouth because she couldn't breathe through her nose made Adrian chuckle.
Unable to breathe, Natalie instinctively patted his arm.
Adrian let go.
Natalie turned over, and the blanket slipped to the floor. Adrian bent down, picked up the thin blanket, and covered her again.
He turned to leave.
Suddenly, he heard Natalie softly and sleepily murmur.
"Adrian."
Adrian paused.
