Chapter 1330 Luxurious Clothing and Fine Food
Rachel slipped on her jacket.
There was a knock at the door. It was the servant from yesterday.
The servant looked at Rachel with surprise. Despite her tiredness, Rachel's delicate features stood out. Without the smudged makeup, her face was strikingly beautiful.
The servant had lived on the island for over 20 years and had never seen such a pretty girl.
"Breakfast is ready. Mr. Isaac Roach knows you're not familiar with the island or its food, so the kitchen prepared some mainland dishes for you. Go ahead and try them."
Rachel replied, "You can call me Eve."
She decided not to make things difficult for the servant. After all, it was just a job.
She headed downstairs, no point in making things harder for herself.
In the dining room, Isaac had already finished his breakfast and was about to leave. When he saw Rachel coming down, his eyes lit up. Eve looked so much like her.
He had already seen from the photos that Eve was quite attractive. Despite the days of travel and her weakened state, her makeup smudged, her demeanor was impressive. Now, without makeup, her beauty was undeniable.
"Come and eat."
Rachel wasn't foolish. She knew there was no way to leave now and wouldn't say anything to provoke this family. She looked at today's breakfast. It actually looked pretty good.
She took a couple of bites and asked, "Where is this place? You know I can't run away, and you said no one would let me on their boat without your permission. So why not tell me where we are?"
"This is Emberfall City."
Rachel didn't recognize the name, but it seemed close to Suncrest City.
"How much did you pay for me?"
"To be precise, I saved you. Look at you now, living in luxury. Isn't it nice here? In the future, you'll be with Elmer, and the whole island will be yours." He was being honest. He wasn't mistreating Rachel and had given her a good life.
Rachel said, "Luxury? Look at what I'm wearing."
The servant chuckled, "Sorry, I forgot. After breakfast, we'll measure you for new clothes and have them ready by tonight."
"You were the most valuable one, so naturally, the price was higher."
"Have you seen my friend? We were taken while shopping at the market together. What about my friend?"
"Sorry, Eve. I'm not associated with the people who took you. I just happened to know their trade channel. They posted your photo, and I chose you. As for your friend, I don't know. I don't deal in that kind of business."
Rachel understood that Isaac wasn't part of the group that kidnapped her.
"I want to see my friend. You want me to marry your son, right? Find out about my friend, ensure her safety, or buy her back too. Then I'll agree to your request."
Rachel was loyal.
She hadn't known Beatrix for long, but Beatrix was still her friend.
