Chapter 140 Premeditated Murder
It was just a dream.
At this moment, the father and brother had been gone for years while the mother was still confined in a mental hospital by Avery.
Natalie got up, still feeling weak. The few cold medicines seemed to be of no use.
She washed her face with cold water, opened the fridge, looked at the empty fridge, and ate something simple.
Suddenly, her phone rang.
Natalie looked at the unfamiliar number on it, hesitated for a moment, and answered. Elodie's anxious voice came through the phone. "Natalie, have you seen Jagger?"
A bad premonition surged in Natalie's heart. "Mrs. Kamel, what happened to Jagger?"
"I don't know, the court summons came, Jagger was dismissed from the hospital, those people said Jagger intended to murder. I also don't know where he went; didn't he come to find you?"
Fifteen minutes later.
Natalie quickly arrived at the Kamel Family.
"Mrs. Kamel."
Elodie was already crying uncontrollably. "Jagger has always been outstanding since he was young, always ranking first in exams. He graduated from college and entered Sunset Valley Hospital. He put his heart and soul into every surgery he performed. How could this happen? It must be intentional, someone maliciously competing!"
Natalie helped Elodie sit down.
Dorian didn't go to work today, either. His proud son lost his job and had to go to court. How could he be in a good mood to go to work? He raised his hand to cover his face and took a long time to calm down. "Natalie, did Jagger not contact you?"
"No."
Suddenly, Natalie remembered Adrian's words.
"Break up with Jagger. Otherwise, you will regret it."
Her pupils dilated slowly.
It was Adrian!
It must be Adrian!
"Mr. and Mrs. Kamel, I'm going to find Jagger."
After saying that, Natalie hurriedly left. She stopped a car and headed straight to the Howard Group building.
"I want to see Adrian."
The receptionist glanced at her, thinking who is this person, daring to call Mr. Howard directly. "Miss, do you have an appointment?"She inquired officially.
"No."
The receptionist, who had received professional training, smiled and said, "I'm sorry, Miss, you can't go in without an appointment."
"But I have urgent business with him, and please tell him that Natalie is looking for him."
Natalie said urgently. At this moment, another receptionist next to her glanced at her. His face changed slightly. She quickly pulled aside the one who had spoken to Natalie earlier and said in a low voice. "She seems to be the one who came last time and was personally received by Assistant Murphy!"
Then, the receptionist was afraid of delaying, immediately dialed Brice's internal line. "Assistant Murphy, Ms. Teeger is here."
Brice was outside the meeting room, listening to the voice of the receptionist on the phone, slightly surprised.
Ms. Teeger? Natalie?
Why did she suddenly come?
He glanced at Adrian in the meeting room and immediately arranged for a secretary to bring Natalie to the lounge to wait.
Shortly after, a secretary named Seraphina Taylor brought Natalie to the meeting room. "Ms. Teeger, Mr. Howard is in a meeting. It will be about an hour or so. Please wait here. Let me know if you need anything."
"Thank you."
After Seraphina left, the entire lounge fell silent.
Natalie felt her eyes heavy, and her throat seemed to be smoking.
She drank a cup of hot water and leaned back on the sofa, feeling a bit weak all over but very hesitant in her heart.
Did Adrian really do this?
But why would he do that?
Was it because of her?
Natalie was fully aware that he hated her very much.
