"Hello!" he bellowed, only to fall silent a few seconds later. His voice dropped to a near whisper, "What, how dare you!"

The realization of his outburst seemed to dawn on him, and he immediately softened his tone. Carlos was driving him to the brink of insanity.

"Sorry," Jagger offered, his voice tinged with regret, "I just wanted to express my gratitude for tonight. It was a delightful evening. Thank you for everything."

Natalie's face lit up with a warm smile as she nodded in acknowledgment. "You're welcome. I too had an enjoyable time. Goodbye, Jagger."

Just as she was about to swing open the car door, Jagger's voice sliced through the silence, "Wait."

She paused, turning back towards him with a puzzled expression. "What's wrong?" she queried.

Jagger appeared to be wrestling with his words. His hands clenched tightly around the steering wheel as he finally blurted out, "How is your mother?"

Earlier, Natalie had mentioned that her mother, Rosalie, had recently undergone a kidney transplant surgery. Natalie, being the kind and dutiful daughter, had been working tirelessly to ensure her mother received the necessary medical attention.

Preoccupied with his thoughts, Jagger failed to pick up on the melancholy in Natalie's voice. All he heard was her soft reply, "She... she's alright."

"If you have time, you can bring her to the hospital. Tomorrow, there's a renowned doctor, Dr. Vachilit, coming. He only works one day a week."

"Thank you, Dr..." Natalie paused, "Jagger."

Upon hearing his professional title replaced with his first name, Jagger felt an inexplicable warmth spread through his heart. He smiled, reaching over to adjust her coat. "Go back and rest early. Goodnight."
