Chapter 322 Five Years Have Passed, And He Still Hasn't Returned.
Natalie and Susan booked a private room. They used to be waitresses here, but now they were the guests.
Susan ordered three bottles of wine and drank alone. Natalie grabbed a bottle, opened it, and said, "Drinking alone is no fun. Let's drink together."
Susan came from a wealthy family and was here to find Simon, which caused many fights with her parents. They thought she was crazy for a man.
Susan said, "I've been looking for him for so long. He left, saying he'd be back in five years, but I haven't heard from him. I contacted all his old friends, but no one knows where he is. I don't even know if he's alive."
Susan got drunk and sat on the carpet, eyes red, thinking of Simon. "I saw him today."
Natalie sat next to her, leaning against the sofa. She understood Susan's feelings and thought it was better to just drink and let loose.
She clinked her bottle against Susan's. "I met a guy who looked like my brother. I grew up in a small town. When I was ten, an earthquake killed my grandmother. I moved back with my mom, who was a housekeeper for a wealthy family. I had a brother who treated me well."
Natalie continued, "When I moved to the new house, I was scared. My dad was busy, and my mom had to manage the household. I was alone, but my brother was there for me. Later, a car accident took both my father and my brother."
Natalie's voice cracked. She took a sip and said, "I saw someone who looked just like my brother. But their personalities were different. He didn't recognize me, and I thought I was mistaken. But how could two people look so alike?"
That night, Natalie and Susan shared their stories and drank. By the end of the night, they fell asleep against the sofa.
Before drifting off, Natalie thought, 'If I meet Raymond again, I'll check if he has a red mole on his chest. If it's not him, I'll give up. Once I save enough money, I'll leave Vachilit with Rosalie.'
Could there really be such coincidences? A face that looked exactly the same.
Late at night.
Nine States Mansion.
Simon sat at his desk. His assistant, Peter Evans, handed him a file. "Mr. Anderson, this is the info on the girl you saw in the garage tonight."
Simon took the envelope and waved Peter away. He opened it and a photo of a girl fell out. He picked it up and read her name, "Susan Taylor."
He looked at her background and school info.
"Imperial Nightclub hires college students?" Simon asked. "Who's her manager?"
"Melody Nicholson," Peter replied. "Should I tell Jason to fire her?"
Simon put down the file and rubbed his temples. "Peter, I remember this name. Do you think I knew her before?"
Peter stepped forward. "Mr. Anderson, is your head hurting again?"
Peter took out a bottle of medicine and gave Simon two pills. Simon took them with water and looked at Susan's photo.
Simon said, "I remember her name, but not her face."
Peter asked, "Should I bring her over?"
Simon shook his head. "No need. Tomorrow, I'll go to the Imperial Nightclub again. Have her come to the 9th floor."
Peter nodded. "Yes, sir."
