Chapter 1046 Legal Spouses

Natalie was super thankful to Daniel for being there when things were rough.

Someone joked, "Now that Adrian's hitched, Daniel, you better step up your game. I heard you and Vida Winthrop had a few dates and hit it off. She's here at Adrian's wedding today. Why not go chat her up and introduce her to us?"

An older relative added, "Yeah, Daniel. With Adrian's wedding done, it's your turn now."

Daniel shrugged, "Vida and I? Maybe it's just not the right time."

Melissa, who knew Daniel well, noticed he still hadn't moved on when Natalie came over to toast earlier. She sighed quietly and smiled, "No need to rush. The more we push, the less he'll feel the urgency. If we back off, he'll take the lead."

"True that," the elders chuckled.

The conversation quickly shifted.

Daniel took a sip of his drink, then downed it in one go. He stood up and told Melissa, "I'm gonna find a spot to smoke." He glanced briefly at Natalie in her wedding dress and thought, 'Natalie, you better be happy.'

Andrea bit her lip, looking all pitiful at Adrian. Jealousy flickered in her eyes, but she put on an innocent, sweet smile for everyone else. "Adrian, I can't drink, so I'll toast you and Natalie with water. Wishing you both all the happiness."

"Thanks, Andrea," Adrian said.

Natalie added, "After dinner, if you're tired, you can rest in the lounge."

Adrian and Natalie went around toasting each table. It was fine at first, but there were just too many people. Natalie couldn't keep up with the drinking, so Adrian took over for her.

The whole banquet hall was buzzing with life.

Guests were decked out in suits, and the women had flawless makeup.

Natalie scanned the room. Most people were here for the Howard family's reputation. The Howards didn't hand out invites lightly; besides some relatives, most were business associates of the Howard Group. A few tables were even set aside for the media.

But Natalie had no family there. Rosalie wasn't her real mom. In the whole banquet hall, the only person she was close to was Adrian.

Natalie suddenly felt a wave of loneliness until a warm hand grabbed hers.

She looked at Adrian, who had come to her side. "Natalie, finally, we're together."

Natalie smiled, "Yeah, we finally made it."

She didn't care much about the wedding ceremony since they already had their marriage certificate, but Adrian insisted on giving her the best.

Natalie's eyes suddenly landed on someone. Unlike everyone else in suits, he was in a beige tracksuit, looking fresh and low-key. That was Jagger. Adrian followed her gaze to where Jagger sat, a solitary figure at one of the last tables. Adrian leaned down and asked, "Wanna go over and chat?"

"Won't you be jealous?" Natalie teased.

"Of course I will, but I know you want to catch up with an old friend."

Natalie appreciated Adrian's understanding.
