Chapter 653 Destruction
During a break on set, Natalie hollered at Yvonne to grab coffee for the whole crew.
Soon enough, the coffee shop delivered the goods. It was morning, and they had rented out a café just for filming. The scene they were shooting had Zoey and Landon breaking down a case for the first time in the café.
A crowd had gathered outside, but security kept them in check, and they even put up curtains to block the view.
The café was lit up automatically.
Yvonne and the crew brought in the coffee, over fifty cups for everyone on set.
Yvonne announced, "Natalie's treating everyone to coffee. Take them for yourselves."
Everyone chimed in, "Thanks, Natalie!"
Yvonne handed a sugar-free americano to Natalie and another to Samuel. Samuel grinned.
Natalie took a sip and started rehearsing with Samuel.
Today, Natalie had eight scenes to shoot. She'd already knocked out three, with five more to go.
The upcoming scenes were big deals, mostly with Natalie and Samuel.
Natalie hadn't taken a single day off this month.
"Really? Carlos, is it all sorted?" Alice lay in bed, laughing. She sat up. "Carlos, thanks for the coffee."
Carlos said they had found Frank and used quite a few tricks to track him down.
Carlos had the deed that Frankie needed, but John had chewed him out.
Giving the deed to Frankie meant losing a chunk of his own turf.
Because of this, Carlos and Frankie had been dragging things out for a week.
Finally, John stepped in and got Frankie to spill Frank's location.
Even though the deed was safe, John had to shell out quite a bit of cash.
John, being the Howard family's butler, had connections in both the legal and shady worlds. Frankie didn't get the deed he wanted, but he still had to show John some respect.
Carlos got a serious earful from John.
Alice quickly asked, "What did Frank say? Was the video destroyed? Did it get out?"
Carlos said, "Nope, Frank said the video is toast. It didn't get out. Don't worry. Frankie had some photos too, but I snagged those as well."
Alice felt totally relieved, knowing she could chill from now on.
Carlos said, "What are you scared of? With me around, there's no way the video or photos will get out. And even if they do, just pin it on Natalie. The Howard family will totally believe you."
"Carlos, thanks a ton. How kind of you to help me out with such a big mess!" Alice cooed into the phone.
Carlos said, "Miss me? I'll wrap up what I'm doing and come find you tonight. Wait for me in the parking lot."
Alice shot back, "I don't wanna go to any parking lot. I have plans tonight."
Carlos asked, "What plans?"
Alice replied, "I'm having dinner at the Howard Villa. Mrs. Howard invited me, and Adrian will be there too."
