Chapter 809 A Wonderful Christmas

It took six hundred million dollars in box office revenue to break even.

But with the way things were going, hitting that six hundred million mark seemed totally doable.

As they stepped out of the theater, snowflakes started to fall.

Natalie spun around, grinning. "The weather forecast says it's gonna snow all night."

A thin layer of snow had already blanketed the green holly trees.

Natalie couldn't help but smile.

Suddenly, she heard the click of a camera shutter.

She looked up to see Adrian snapping a photo.

She was a bit taken aback.

Natalie thought she was the only one who'd do something sneaky like that. She never expected someone as reserved as Adrian to pull the same stunt.

"Are you taking pictures of me? That's kinda invading my privacy, you know." Natalie pouted a bit but didn't seem mad. She scooped up a small snowball and walked over.

Adrian smirked. "Invasion of privacy? Haven't you done that to me enough? You've taken so many sneaky photos of me. Did you think I wouldn't notice?"

Natalie lowered her lashes. "So you did notice?"

She thought Adrian wouldn't catch on since she always took pictures with the sound off.

Natalie walked over and placed a small snowball on Adrian's neck. The snow outside wasn't heavy, having only fallen for an hour or two, so her snowball was pretty small.

But the cold made Adrian shiver instantly. He hunched his shoulders and bent down to scoop up the mischievous Natalie, who let out a small yelp.

Adrian placed her in the car, and Natalie gently wrapped her arms around his neck, then leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his lips.

"Merry Christmas, Adrian," she said.

Adrian looked down at her. "Merry Christmas, Natalie."

It was a beautiful Christmas. Natalie didn't want to think about anything upsetting, whether it was Alice being pregnant or Rosalie's threats. She just wanted to spend more time with Adrian, to be with him through the years. As for Adrian marrying Alice, that could be dealt with later.

People might call Natalie humble or lowly. But love was like that. There was no way around it.

At the wee hours of the night, Adrian brought Natalie to her apartment.

That night, Adrian stayed with her.

The Howard family called, but Adrian didn't answer.

Since becoming the CEO of the Howard Group, Adrian had way less private time and a ton more obligations. He couldn't just ditch the big Howard family to spend Christmas with Natalie, even though he wanted to be with the woman he loved.

Late at night, Natalie was already asleep, her head resting on Adrian's arm, nestled in his embrace.

Adrian looked down and gently kissed her hair.

He whispered again, "Merry Christmas, Natalie."

The next day, Natalie was woken up by the ringing of the phone.

"Ms. Teeger, there's a gift here from Mr. Howard for you. He hopes you can sign an agreement."

Natalie rubbed her sleepy eyes, answered the phone, and looked around. Adrian was already gone. She knew it was hard for him to stay with her all night.

Hearing the words on the phone, Natalie frowned slightly. "Adrian sent it to me?"

"Yes, Ms. Teeger. Please come to Blue Moon Lake to handle the paperwork. Our boss is already waiting for you here."
