Chapter 1111 Accepting Any Punishment
Bobby gave Rachel a playful pinch on the waist and whispered, "I like this watch too. Why didn't you give it to me?"
Rachel shot back, "It's not your birthday today."
Bobby grinned, "If it were my birthday, would you give it to me?"
"Nope, this one's a limited edition, and it's the only one I've got. But I don't wear it much. I've got a bunch of other watches. You can pick one from my closet if you want."
The Howard family, Rachel's family, was the wealthiest in all of Vachilit. Rachel, being the apple of their eye, never wanted for anything.
But Bobby wasn't exactly hurting for a fancy watch either. Rachel couldn't figure out what he was up to.
Bobby put on a sad puppy face, making Rachel feel a bit uneasy.
"It's your fault," Rachel said, "You didn't tell me it was Dwayne's birthday today and just dragged me here. If I'd known, I would've either skipped it or brought a gift."
"Alright, my bad. To make it up to you, I'll take any punishment you dish out tonight," Bobby teased.
"Who wants to punish you?" Rachel pushed him away, but Bobby leaned in closer.
The mix of his cologne and his natural scent made Rachel's heart race, her cheeks flushing.
Rachel was 24 and had never been in a relationship. She had a thing for Jamie and had never been close to any other guy.
She hadn't even held hands with anyone but Jamie and her brothers.
Bobby's closeness made Rachel's breath hitch, her face a bit flushed.
Luckily, the dim lighting in the private room hid her reaction from Bobby.
To others, it looked like they were just flirting.
Hestia stomped her foot in frustration. 'I've chased Bobby for years, and he's turned me down so many times. Now that he's finally broken up with Dione, there's another girl! No way Bobby likes her! She's just pretty, that's all! But I'm not bad-looking either.'
"Hestia, come sit with us," a few girls called out, trying to comfort her. They all knew Hestia had been after Bobby for years and felt bad for her.
Dwayne's birthday party kicked off, and everyone moved to the dining room.
There were exactly ten seats, just enough for the group. Rachel sat to Bobby's left.
The food was served, all signature dishes from Blossom Restaurant, and they tasted amazing.
Everyone raised their glasses, and Rachel sipped on a non-alcoholic drink.
During the meal, a woman asked, "Rachel, how did you meet Bobby?"
The woman was sitting next to a THT teammate, probably his girlfriend.
Rachel knew all the THT guys and kept up with the gossip. She rested her chin on her hand, her eyes twinkling. "We met by chance, nothing special."
"There are so many girls chasing after Bobby. Rachel, tell us your story," the woman pressed.
