Chapter 750 I Love You
Adrian didn't tell Natalie about what happened at work. He just shrugged it off, saying, "Nah, it's cool. I just forgot."
Adrian leaned in, playfully rubbing his chin against her cheek. Natalie squirmed away, giggling. She was super ticklish.
"Adrian, Mr. Howard, cut it out!" she laughed, struggling to escape.
However, she wriggled but couldn't get away.
"Adrian, I love you. Please stop," she pleaded.
Adrian's eyes had this intense look, his voice all raspy. "Say that again."
Natalie blinked, confused. "Say what?"
"What you just said," he rasped.
"I love you," she mumbled, feeling a bit shy.
She had just blurted out and felt awkward to repeat it.
Adrian was loving it, though. He gently lifted her chin with his fingers. "Say it again."
"No way," Natalie shook her head.
That sentence was right in the moment.
Adrian's hand held her chin gently but firmly. He didn't want to leave a mark on her delicate skin. "Say it once for me."
Natalie, still breathless from their kiss, her voice soft and a bit hoarse, said, "No."
"Really?" Adrian raised an eyebrow, shrugged off his jacket, and tossed it on the floor. He was in a black long-sleeve tee underneath. He bent down, scooped her up, and flipped her over, pressing her down for another kiss.
Even though they'd been together for a while, Natalie was still a bit clumsy with this stuff. Her kissing was awkward, like a girl in her first romance. She couldn't even catch her breath, gasping for air.
Adrian was practically stealing all the air from her lungs. She blinked, her eyes watering.
Seeing her like this drove Adrian wild. That look, that face, always got to him. He let her go, and she gasped for air like a fish out of water.
"Come on, just say it once for me," he coaxed.
This time, Natalie gave in, knowing if she didn't, they'd be stuck in bed all night. She softened her voice. "I love you."
With her red eyes and soft voice, it was too much for him to surpress his desire anymore. Even though she was fully clothed and hadn't done anything, her eyes and voice totally calptivated Adrian. He jumped off the bed and headed to the bathroom, feeling like if this kept up, they weren't going anywhere tonight.
He turned on the faucet, letting cold water run.
Natalie sat up, hearing the water running. Why did he suddenly need a shower?
Then it hit her, and she blushed.
Adrian was really holding back.
He came out about ten minutes later with his bathrobe slightly open. His hair was still wet. Natalie walked over. "Can't you tie up your robe?"
Adrian shrugged. "It's just us here. There's no need to be shy."
