Chapter 473 Advanced Studies

As soon as Heather brought it up, Natalie felt a dull throb in her head.

She hardly ever drank, but this time, she got totally wasted.

Maybe it was 'cause the whole situation was just too weird, or maybe she just wanted to drown her sorrows. Even though she was hammered last night, her mind was still pretty clear.

Natalie rubbed her forehead. "I'm good."

Heather didn't push it; everyone had their low points.

Heather said, "Oh, by the way, here's the script I picked for you. Check it out. It's a second female lead, but the script's solid, and there's a good chunk of investment. Dynamic Entertainment Media's throwing in ten percent. The main lead's from Star Entertainment. It's a short series, and those are hot right now. The plot's light and fun. With some good marketing, it could easily hit a billion views. But be careful with your first lead role."

Natalie took the script and gave it a good look.

Heather went on, "Samantha's about to start filming. The team’s solid, and the company treats her well. But Natalie, I think you're better than her. It's just that the company doesn't push you enough."

After reading the script, Natalie felt super grateful to Heather.

Heather had a knack for picking the best scripts for her with limited resources, showing she really put in the effort. Natalie knew she hadn't misjudged her.

Natalie said, "Heather, thanks a lot."

Heather smiled. "I should be thanking you. You got me out from under Samantha's shadow. Otherwise, I'd still be stuck with Dynamic Entertainment Media's debts."

Agents who left Dynamic Entertainment Media often had a hard time getting hired by other big companies.

"Heather, my mom's health isn't great. I want to take a break for a bit." Plus, she was waiting for Oscar's show to start filming, which should be in about twenty days.

She also needed to sort out some stuff with the Cullen family.

"Alright." Heather was a bit surprised but then realized that Natalie's breakdown last night was probably because of her mom. She got it, her own mom wasn't in great health either. She worked hard to make sure her mom got the best care.

At the hospital.

Jagger walked into the office of Leon, the deputy director of the nephrology department.

Jagger said, "Leon."

Leon looked at his star student. Despite some recent hiccups, it didn't change his opinion. "Jagger, I was just about to look for you."

Leon smiled and pulled out a document from his drawer. "This is the application form for advanced studies in Ameriland. I saved a spot for you. Your grades are definitely good enough."

Jagger looked at the application form. Once, this was his dream when he first joined the hospital.

But now...

He looked at Leon. "Professor."

He didn't call him 'Leon' but used 'Professor' instead. "Professor, I want to resign."

Leon got serious. "What's going on? Why do you want to leave? Is it because of what happened with Traylor yesterday?"

Jagger nodded, then shook his head. "Not entirely."

Leon said sternly, "Jagger, you're the best student I've ever had. I hope you'll think this through. It hasn't been easy for you to get here. If you want to go to another hospital, I can recommend you, but I hope you think it over. Don't quit because of emotional stuff. Think about your patients and the oath you took when you decided to study medicine."

Jagger hadn't forgotten. He slowly clenched his fist.

Leon continued, "You can go to Ameriland for advanced studies for eight months. It's a chance to learn and exchange techniques, not an escape."
