Chapter 947 Help
"Natalie, you gotta help me. Nicholas has me under house arrest," Bella's voice was barely a whisper on the other end. "I'm at 29 Willow Street, Renaissance Grove Villas."
Natalie clutched her phone. "What did you just say?" Realizing Bella was in serious trouble, she quickly added, "Hang tight, Bella. I'm on my way."
After hanging up, Bella thought for a second and then called the cops, explaining her situation.
The police assured her they'd be there ASAP.
Natalie asked Derek to cover for her; she needed to get back to Vachilit right away!
She found Matthew and told him she had something urgent to deal with. He nodded and gave her two days off.
The only flight that day was in the afternoon; the morning one had already left. So, Natalie grabbed a train ticket and got to Vachilit in two hours.
Derek had no clue what was so urgent for Natalie.
Natalie was freaking out about Bella. "My friend, Bella Swan, is being held by Nicholas in a villa."
Derek asked, "Nicholas?"
The name rang a bell, but he couldn't place it.
Natalie added, "The second son of the Reynolds family."
Soon, the cops showed up at Renaissance Grove Villas.
A young maid, masked and cleaning the garden, opened the door. She was shocked to see the police.
Most people got a bit jittery when the cops show up.
The maid gripped her broom. "Who are you looking for?"
The police flashed their badges. "Police. We got a call and need to investigate. Is there anyone else here besides you?"
The maid said, "This villa belongs to Mr. Reynolds, but he's usually out. I'm just here cleaning; no one else is around."
The cops went upstairs.
Two officers checked each room but didn't find Bella.
After leaving the villa, one officer said, "The caller said she was at Renaissance Grove Villas, but she's not here. Could it be a prank?"
"Not sure, let's trace the call."
Inside the villa, as soon as the cops left, the maid picked up the landline and dialed a number. "Patrick, the police are gone."
Bella waited all morning but saw no sign of the police.
'I called the cops. They should be here by now. And Natalie? Where is she?' she thought.
Bella sat on the couch, staring at the decor and the smoky gray leather beneath her. Suddenly, she had a thought. "Liliana, where am I? Can you tell me if this is Renaissance Grove Villas?"
Liliana was in the kitchen making coffee. She hesitated, seeing Bella's anxious face, and finally said, "This is Golden Crest Manor, another property of Mr. Reynolds, not Renaissance Grove Villas."
Bella tensed up. She hadn't realized she'd been moved from Renaissance Grove Villas to Golden Crest Manor overnight.
Bella knew exactly where Golden Crest Manor was.
Golden Crest Manor was one of the top ten estates, a Vistalia-style property, sprawling with an artificial lake and a central statue carved into a white magnolia.
