Chapter 621 Moving Out

Ava had been itching to dump Frank for ages. Now that Frank had pissed off the Cullen family and hooked up with Alice, who was about to marry into the Howard family, the top dogs in Vachilit, Frank was pretty much toast.

Ava didn't want to get dragged down with him. "Yeah, we all crash at Blue Bar."

Aiden asked cautiously, "Why are you guys staying at Blue Bar? Is Frank tight with the owner or something?"

Ava shook her head. "Nah, not really. Frank owes Mr. King a ton of money. You know Kent, right? The big-time loan shark around here. Frank couldn't pay him back, so the Blue Bar owner, Yancy, covered it for him and let him stay there. But Frank's basically on house arrest—can't go out or talk to anyone. Seems like Frank really ticked off the Cullen family. Just a few days ago, Yancy got stabbed, and it freaked us all out."

"Yancy got stabbed?" Aiden's eyes widened. "When did that go down?"

Ava nodded. "Just yesterday morning."

She patted her chest, still shaken. "When I went downstairs, there was blood everywhere. I bet it was the Cullen family trying to shut him up."

Aiden pressed on, "What did Frank do to make the Cullen family so mad?"

Ava didn't hold back. "He hooked up with Alice years ago and has some videos of her. Now that Alice is about to marry into the Howard family, she's probably scared those videos will get out. They're hunting Frank down, and he's hiding."

"Ava, you must be starving. Let's grab a bite. Is there any fancy place around here? I'm new to Vachilit and don't know my way around. You can show me the ropes. We can chat while we eat."

"Sure thing." Ava didn't think twice and happily tagged along with Aiden.

They hit up a swanky rooftop restaurant in Vachilit.

It was Ava's first time at such a posh spot. She'd heard they only served folks with over $5 million in the bank.

With the sweet sound of violin music in the background, Ava eyed the fancy lunch in front of her.

Aiden suggested, "I'll be hanging around Vachilit for a bit. Blue Bar's not safe anymore. How about I rent a place, and you and Frank can move in? That way, I won't be stressing about you."

Ava was all about Aiden now. She didn't want to stick around with Frank, and Blue Bar was getting sketchy. She nodded right away. "Okay, I'll go back and talk to Frank."

"Do it right away." Aiden patted Ava's hand. "I can't relax knowing you're in such a dangerous spot. You don't want me worrying about you all the time, do you?"

Ava blushed and squeezed Aiden's hand. "I get it. I'll handle it right away."

By noon, Ava was back at Blue Bar.

She snuck upstairs and bumped into Julian, who was pissed at Ava and Frank because of Yancy's stabbing. "I told you to stay put. Do you have any idea how many people are after Frank right now?"

Ava pouted. "Julian, we're cooped up here every day. It's driving me nuts. Besides, they're after Frank, not me." She swayed her hips and headed to her room.

Julian watched her go, shook his head, and went downstairs to tell his buddy, "Keep an eye on Ava and Frank. Don't let them leave Blue Bar. I'm heading to the hospital to check on Yancy."

His buddy nodded. "Got it, Julian."
