Chapter 1027 Threat
Alice changed her clothes and headed downstairs, ready to head out, when she bumped into Avery, who stopped her in her tracks.
Seeing Alice's pale and twisted expression, Avery seemed to get the gist and said, "Alice, don't go looking for Adrian anymore. He's got nothing to do with you now."
Avery just wanted Alice to be safe and sound.
Alice screamed, "How can it have nothing to do with me? He's marrying Natalie! That maid's daughter! How can someone like her marry Adrian?"
Avery hugged Alice. "Alice, calm down. They're already married and planning a wedding."
"No!" Alice suddenly lost it, shoved Avery away, and bolted out the door. She jumped in her car and sped off.
Avery took a few steps after her but couldn't catch up. She knew Alice couldn't let go; Alice was too hung up on Adrian and was now stuck in a mess she couldn't get out of.
Renee came out and supported Avery. "Mrs. Cullen, are you okay?"
Avery sighed, clueless about how to get through to Alice.
Alice drove straight to the Howard Corporation Building.
Alice looked a lot like Natalie, so when she passed the front desk, the receptionist didn't stop her, thinking she was Natalie.
Everyone in the company knew Natalie was Adrian's wife and that they were about to have a wedding.
Alice marched straight to the CEO's office.
Brice was sitting at the desk outside. "Mrs. Howard."
"Where's Adrian?" Alice turned and knocked on the door.
Only then did Brice realize it wasn't Natalie but Alice. "Ms. Cullen, you're not welcome here. Please leave!"
The door to the CEO's office wasn't locked. Alice knocked a few times, then turned the handle and barged in.
Adrian was in a video conference. He looked up, thinking it was Natalie, but quickly realized it was Alice.
Adrian apologized to the people in the video conference and ended the call. He looked at Alice, his eyes cold. "Brice, get her out of here."
Brice came in. "Ms. Cullen, please leave."
"Adrian," Alice said tearfully, "Are you really going to marry Natalie? You've been deceived by that woman. She comes from a low background, and her character is even worse. You must have been manipulated by her to cancel the wedding."
"Alice, the only person I love is Natalie, never you. Don't you know why I agreed to marry you back then?"
Alice's face turned pale. "No, you love me. You've just been deceived by that bitch Natalie!"
Hearing Alice insult Natalie, Adrian frowned. "Brice, call security and throw her out."
Alice suddenly rushed to the coffee table and grabbed a fruit knife.
Brice panicked. "Ms. Cullen."
Adrian remained unmoved, just coldly staring at Alice, with no patience left to deal with her.
Alice cried, "Adrian, you must love me. Why are you marrying Natalie? You've been deceived by her. She's the most scheming and vicious woman!"
Adrian coldly replied, "Do you think everyone is like you?"
