Chapter 201 The Last Card
Alice also heard this remark. Instantly, her face turned very pale.
It was Natalie!
Alice had hated Natalie since childhood, primarily because Natalie looked very much like her.
People who didn't know them would think Alice and Natalie were twin sisters!
Later, after graduating from high school, Alice had a minor cosmetic surgery. She had her chin shaved and her nose made more prominent. She thought she looked better. But when she stood next to Natalie, people who weren't familiar with them would still say Natalie was more attractive with better skin!
From elementary school to high school, when Alice and Natalie went to school together, there were always people asking if they were sisters because they looked so alike. Moreover, many people said Natalie was much more attractive. Alice was furious. 'How can I look like a servant?' she thought.
Some even said Natalie as a servant looked better than Alice!
To Alice, this was humiliating!
When she was a child, Alice once caught a servant of the Cullen family secretly discussing her and Natalie. They once said Natalie looked better. Alice made such a fuss that Avery fired those servants!
Alice loathed Natalie!
Adrian held the cards in his hand, slightly raising his eyelids.
Hearing such comments again, Alice was even angrier.
Natalie was wearing a light blue long dress. As the sea breeze blew, her skirt swayed slightly, revealing a pair of long legs. Natalie had only put on light makeup, but she looked very beautiful. Her hair fell in soft waves on her shoulders, giving her a gentle and non-threatening beauty.
Natalie walked step by step to the long table and found only two empty seats, presumably one for Daniel and the other left by Daniel for her. She pulled out a chair and sat down.
Everyone seemed to come to their senses.
She was Natalie, the maid of the Cullen family.
Everyone glanced at Natalie and then at Alice.
Natalie and Alice did look very similar, but the difference was that Alice was wearing an expensive Dior early spring dress, while Natalie wore an ordinary blue dress. Although it looked cheap, Natalie had more grace than Alice.
Alice gritted her teeth, clutching the cards in her hand tightly. The cards began to crumple and deform under her grip. Alice didn't even notice. Her meticulously made-up face showed a somewhat ferocious expression.
Sitting next to Alice, Adrian took in all of Alice's expressions.
Alice had completely lost her usual elegant and ladylike demeanor.
"Natalie, this card is for you," Diana said, pushing the card to Natalie.
Her eyes flickered. She had marked this deck of cards and often played with it. One of the Ace of Hearts had slightly damaged corners. She recognized it at a glance. The last card left on the table was the Ace of Hearts, and the other one should be in Rex's hand.
Rex was burly as a playboy but he looked a bit sleazy.
Natalie looked at the card pushed in front of her, tightly pressed against the table. She frowned slightly. "I don't participate in these games."
"Oh, come on. Don't spoil the fun. We just need you to join, or we can't start the game," Someone chimed in.
"Yeah, don't keep us waiting too long."
"That's right, Natalie. If you don't play, we can't go on."
Helplessly, Natalie had to take the card. She opened it, and Diana leaned over to take a look, immediately shouting, "Ace of Hearts, Natalie. You're the Ace of Hearts."
Natalie had just arrived and wasn't familiar with the rules of the game. She glanced at her card, a white card with an Ace of Hearts. "What's the deal with the Ace of Hearts?" Natalie asked.
