Chapter 1018 The Mysterious Blue Moon Lake
Suddenly, someone called out Natalie's name.
Cassidy's face soured, not because of Natalie, but because of the person next to her, Heather.
She frowned and glanced at Lucy.
Lucy was just as surprised, clueless about how Heather and Natalie got in. Ellsworth and his team were supposed to be guarding the place, and no one without an invite was allowed.
Natalie scanned the room, her eyes landing on Cassidy, and she walked over with a smile.
"Just found out today’s Mrs. Reynolds' birthday. Sorry for being late," Natalie said, then turned to Heather. "Hand over the gift to Mrs. Reynolds."
Hardly anyone called Cassidy "Mrs. Reynolds" anymore.
Especially after she took over the Reynolds Group, she was eager to change its name.
The title "Mrs. Reynolds" was like a bomb, instantly setting Cassidy off.
"I was wondering who's here. Turns out it's an actress and a broke agent trying to climb the social ladder," Cassidy sneered, her eyes moving from Natalie to Heather.
Heather kept a polite smile. "Today is Mrs. Reynolds' birthday. We hope you enjoy the gift we brought."
Heather extended the gift.
Cassidy didn't budge, and neither did Lucy.
People around them started whispering.
"These two have really ticked Cassidy off. Does Natalie think she can do whatever she wants just because she's famous?"
"She's just an actress. Fame won't help her here. Cassidy can ruin her career with a single word."
"I've never seen Cassidy this mad. Calling her Mrs. Reynolds is just rubbing salt in the wound."
"Let's see how Cassidy handles this."
Media cameras zoomed in on Natalie as the reporters sensed a scoop.
After all, Natalie was a hot celebrity.
Lucy looked around and yelled, "Where are the security guards? How did these two get in here?"
The head of Blue Moon Lake's security team walked over. The guy, about 40, named Miguel, was Marshall's trusted right-hand man. He came from a mercenary background and had always handled security at Blue Moon Lake.
Miguel said, "Ma'am, everything is absolutely fine."
"Fine? If everything's fine, then how did these two get in without an invite?"
Miguel glanced at Natalie. "Ms. Teeger owns Blue Moon Lake. Everything here belongs to her. Why would she need an invitation?"
He stood next to Natalie, looking at Cassidy. "Mrs. Reynolds, Ms. Teeger took time out of her busy schedule to come celebrate your birthday, and not only do you not appreciate it, but you also want to kick her out. What do you mean by this?"
Miguel didn't hold back, calling her "Mrs. Reynolds" repeatedly.
Cassidy was stunned, and so was everyone else. 'What? Natalie owns Blue Moon Lake? The mysterious owner is Natalie? No way!'
Cassidy's face went pale, her smile frozen as she looked at Natalie, never expecting her to be the owner of Blue Moon Lake.
Just then, Marshall walked over. "Ms. Teeger, you're here."
Natalie smiled. "I prepared a small gift for Mrs. Reynolds, but I guess she won't like it."
