Chapter 1186 Hard to Get a Ticket
Natalie smiled slightly. Indeed, even the usually cold and distant Adrian could do something so surprising.
Adrian continued, "Maybe it's because I like you. Before I lost my memory, I liked you, so I was willing to break my own rules."
Before Natalie could respond, he added, "The Nameless Road is indeed a great movie. No wonder it's one of your classic works. I really enjoyed watching it."
"Thank you for your recognition. When we were filming that movie, I never thought it would be so successful," Natalie said to Adrian. "I should thank you because it was your reputation that convinced the investors to fund my movie, which allowed it to succeed."
"You have a good eye and talent. If the script itself was bad, it would have been a flop even with the investment."
"Thank you for the compliment."
Adrian coughed awkwardly, "I really like hearing you talk about our past. If you're willing to share more, I'm always ready to listen. If you have any troubles, I'm here to listen too."
Natalie lowered her eyes, "Really?"
"I'm your husband. Whether I have my memory or not, that fact won't change."
"You once said that if I bullied Andrea, you would divorce me."
Adrian pressed his lips together. Who would have thought he'd bring this upon himself?
"That was nonsense I said before. Since you're my wife, I wouldn't divorce you so easily," Adrian said, looking at her.
"As for Andrea, she's my sister, she saved my life, she's family. Since you're my wife, you need to learn how to get along with my family."
"Just family, just a sister?" Natalie was skeptical.
"Just family."
Seeing Adrian nod, Natalie felt a bit enlightened, "Alright, I will learn to get along with your family and be a qualified mistress of the Howard family."

Meadowbrook City, one of the outskirts of Solstice.
The most bustling place was the harbor at night.
Tonight, the harbor would open, and the Ocean Harmony would dock at Meadowbrook Harbor for half an hour. Those who had the means could choose to board.
"I'll go up with Stefan. Briar, you stay here with Delmar Puckett," said the man in black sportswear, his face stern and his features chiseled. He looked out at the rolling waves in the distance and calmly instructed.
There were four of them.
The girl named Briar looked about twenty-five years old and was Eddy's daughter.
There was also a Delmar and someone named Stefan.
Hearing Derek's instructions, Briar disagreed, "No, I want to go in. My father is in there."
Derek lit a cigarette, half of his face in the night, "If you want to go in, then I won't. I only have two tickets."
He took a drag and exhaled a smoke ring, his voice hoarse and a bit muffled.
Briar gritted her teeth, "Then let Stefan switch with me. My dad is in there; how can I not go in?"
Stefan looked at Derek, "How about this, Derek? I'll switch with Briar. You and Briar go in."
Derek flicked the ash off his cigarette, "Briar is a girl. She doesn't understand, but do you not understand either? Once we go in, we have to wait until the next round of opening to come out."
