Chapter 1056 Meeting Again
"Quite a temper," the thug sneered, his eyes lingering on Heather's chest. Not ready to let go of such a knockout, he pressed on, "Miss, your drinks are on me. What'll it be?"
As he spoke, he tried to drag Heather towards a secluded booth.
Heather raised her hand and slapped him hard. "I told you to get lost. Didn't you hear me?"
"Wow, you're a wild one! I like it." The thug was strong.
Heather struggled and pulled out her phone, ready to call the cops.
But the thug snatched it away before she could dial.
Actually, Heather didn't care what the thug would do to her. Ever since breaking up with Yancy, Heather felt like her world had ended. Nothing mattered anymore.
Yancy, sitting with his two buddies at a booth, listened half-heartedly as they chatted about some recent funny stuff.
Yancy lit a cigarette. He remembered he could smoke, but for some reason, it tasted bitter. Maybe it was because he hadn't smoked in a while.
His mind had been a mess lately, filled with memories he didn't recognize, and the silhouette of a woman. That woman seemed so close, yet completely out of reach.
"Yancy, you haven't been in touch with us lately. We've been so bored."
"Bored? I'll take you guys out for some fun tomorrow," Yancy said.
"Alright, let's hit up Imperial Nightclub."
Yancy nodded. "It's on me."
"Such a pretty girl, what a shame she's being harassed by a thug," one of his friends suddenly remarked.
The bar was chaotic as usual.
Yancy looked up, took a drag from his cigarette, and saw a thug forcefully pulling a woman two booths away.
This was a more secluded area of the bar, offering some privacy.
Yancy's eyes suddenly narrowed sharply. 'Isn't that Heather?' he thought.
The thug's hand moved towards Heather's waist.
Heather was drunk, stumbling around, not as strong as the man and couldn't push him away.
At that moment, a strong force suddenly pulled the thug away. Heather stumbled and fell to the ground. She looked up in a daze and saw a man rushing over to fight the thug.
Heather tried to sit up. "Who are you?"
The thug was stunned for a moment and took a punch. "Where did this gigolo come from, daring to ruin my fun?" He glared at Yancy, trying to fight back, but Yancy was too quick. The thug's bravado crumbled as Yancy locked his hands, realizing he'd underestimated his opponent. He'd expected an easy target, not a skilled fighter like Yancy.
Yancy was ruthless, keeping punching the thug's face.
Two friends ran over and pulled him back. "Stop, Yancy, stop!"
The thug cried out in pain, his head bleeding from the blows.
Staff members in the bar also rushed over to separate the two.
Yancy broke free from his friends' grip and hurried over to check on Heather. "Are you okay?"
Yancy didn't really know why seeing Heather being bullied made him lose control, as if he wanted to kill the thug. Luckily, his friends had come over to pull him away.
