Chapter 507 Qualification
Samantha's eyes went wide. "What's the deal with Natalie?"
Lydia shrugged. She didn't have a clue either.
All she knew was that even Mindy wouldn't mess with Natalie.
Seeing Lydia's blank look, Samantha said, "Next week, Dynamic Entertainment Media's throwing their sixth anniversary bash. I heard Mr. Howard's gonna be there too?"
Lydia nodded. "Probably. He usually shows up at these things. But why do you care, Samantha?"
"Lydia, what if I get close to Mr. Howard? Maybe the folks backing Natalie won't be able to keep me blacklisted forever." In Vachilit, no one was more powerful than Adrian.
Lydia gave Samantha a once-over.
Samantha was drop-dead gorgeous, which was why Lydia noticed her at Vilniusky Media University right away. She had that look everyone was into—freckles under her eyes, long brown hair, innocent yet seductive.
If Samantha could really catch Adrian's eye, then...
While Lydia was lost in thought, Samantha seemed to think she had a killer plan. She was super confident in her looks. If she could snag Adrian's attention, taking down Natalie would be a piece of cake.
No matter who was backing Natalie, they wouldn't stand a chance!
Getting publicly humiliated by Natalie had been a major blow. Plus, with her current debt, she couldn't live the high life anymore.
Samantha said, "Lydia, think about it. If I get in good with Mr. Howard, no one at Dynamic Entertainment Media would dare mess with you. Even Karen wouldn't stand a chance, and Mindy would be kissing up to you."
Hearing this, Lydia grinned.
If Samantha could get close to Adrian, she'd be the biggest winner.
Lydia thought, 'My new drama projects will get more funding, and Mr. Harrison from Dynamic Entertainment Media will take me more seriously. I won't have to put up with Mindy and Karen anymore.'
She nodded. "Great. Samantha, take care of yourself and show up at the gala looking your best. I'll figure out how to get you a ticket."
Samantha had been semi-permanently banned by Dynamic Entertainment Media, so she probably couldn't get a ticket to the anniversary bash. But to give Samantha a shot at meeting Adrian, Lydia would pull out all the stops.
Samantha got all excited. "Thanks, Lydia."
The Dynamic Entertainment Media anniversary bash was just four days away.
Natalie got an invite.
Heather said, "It's Dynamic Entertainment Media's anniversary party. I heard even Brandi Clark and some big-name actors will be there. All the artists from Dynamic Entertainment Media will be there, and also..."
Heather paused, her eyes lighting up.
Natalie looked up. "And what?"
Heather continued, "I heard Mr. Howard will be there too. You know, Dynamic Entertainment Media is part of the Howard Group. Seeing the legendary boss, a big shot in the Vachilit business world, is something to look forward to."
Natalie said, "Is that so?"
She saw Adrian all the time and was already used to his good looks.
Seeing that Natalie wasn't excited, Heather quickly filled her in. "I heard Mr. Howard is the top dog among the wealthy families. After coming back from abroad and taking over the Howard Group for a year, the Howard Group has become even more powerful. This is his first time attending Dynamic Entertainment Media's anniversary bash. This year's party is at the swankiest hotel in Vachilit, making it super grand. It's clear Mr. Harrison is putting a lot into this anniversary bash. Some newly signed artists at Dynamic Entertainment Media don't even get to go."
