Chapter 486 As Long As You Like It
Adrian's lips, which had been kinda tight, finally broke into a grin. "As long as you dig it."
He didn't really mind her living in Blue Mountain Community, but then he found out Daniel handed Blue Mountain Community over to Natalie. So, he hit up the head honcho at Dynamic Entertainment Media and snagged the best-view floor for Natalie in Celestial Garden.
This floor, this angle, was once the dream spot for Dynamic Entertainment Media's top star, Corinne Bailey, but the bigwigs didn't give it to her.
This time, though, the higher-ups went straight to Mindy and handed the floor to Natalie, showing how much they were into her.
And all of this was just 'cause Adrian said the word.
Adrian said, "I'll swing by tonight."
Natalie nodded. "You wanna eat here? I'll whip up something for dinner."
Adrian replied, "Sure thing."
"What do you like to eat?" Natalie checked the time. She had the whole afternoon, so she could hit the store for some ingredients.
Adrian said, "Anything you cook is cool with me."
After hanging up, Natalie changed her clothes, threw on some sunglasses and a mask, and grabbed a cab to the mall's supermarket.
She pushed a cart around, grabbed some snacks, veggies, and fruits. Just moved into her new place, so the fridge was pretty much empty. After that, she remembered she needed some household stuff and headed to the second floor.
While picking out shampoo and body wash, she couldn't find her usual brand, so she grabbed a couple of cherry blossom-scented ones. As she pushed the cart forward, a kid suddenly zoomed by on a skateboard, knocking over a stack of hundreds of shampoo bottles.
An old lady with white hair yelped and couldn't dodge in time. Natalie rushed over to help her and shielded her. A few bottles hit her back, making her wince. "You okay?"
The old lady was shaken and patted her chest. "That scared me, but I'm good."
The old lady adjusted her glasses. "You okay?"
Natalie moved her shoulder a bit. "I'm fine, as long as you didn't get hurt."
A sales assistant hurried over. "What happened? You two alright?"
The shampoo was stacked for looks and promos. If someone got hurt, it would be a big deal.
Especially with older folks, any incident would mean the person in charge would have to take the heat.
Meanwhile, the kid's mom heard the ruckus and ran over, scolding her son. "What were you thinking? You can't skateboard in the supermarket!"
The boy, about six, knew he was in trouble and started bawling when his mom scolded him.
The old lady said, "It's okay, just be more careful next time."
Seeing Natalie bend down to pick up the shampoo bottles, the old lady smiled and asked, "What's your name?"
"My name's Natalie Teeger." Natalie, still wearing her mask, helped the sales assistant pick up the bottles. She looked at the old lady and asked, "Where's your family? You out here alone? Did any bottles hit you?"
The old lady shook her head. "No, I'm from Lisbun. Just visiting my grandson and came to the supermarket to look around."
After saying goodbye to the old lady, Natalie left. The old lady stood there with a smile and made a phone call, watching Natalie's back. This girl was really sweet.
