Chapter 953 What If I Say No
There were about six people bustling around—some holding up skirts, others with cameras, a few with water and umbrellas, and the rest carrying clothes and coats.
Wendy snapped a few photos before the photographer quickly moved to a new spot.
Wendy's assistant walked over and looked at Natalie. "Ms. Teeger, are you done yet? Ms. Lewis needs to shoot now, and it's kinda urgent. Could you give us some space? Ms. Lewis has an interview right after this. Maybe you could take a break?" She was polite in words, but her face said otherwise.
Natalie's photographer glanced at her, waiting for a cue.
Natalie asked calmly, "How many shots have we taken?"
"Only five or six. We need another set," the photographer replied.
Heather crossed her arms. "Did you hear that? We're not done either. Why doesn't Ms. Lewis take a break?" She then told the photographer, "Keep going."
Natalie didn't mind taking a break; she wasn't out to get Wendy. But there was a first-come, first-served rule. Natalie was here first, and even if Wendy wanted to shoot here, a polite request would have been fine. But barging in with a big entourage and demanding people move? No one would be cool with that.
Nearby, a few minor celebrities were gossiping.
"Wendy got shut down..."
"Does she think everyone is as easygoing as us? Natalie looks gentle, but who knew she'd stand up to Wendy."
"Wendy's using her status to push people around. We were here first and haven't finished shooting, and she wants us to move. Why?"
"Exactly, she acts all high and mighty. They say she has a good reputation, good relationships, and a nice personality. It's all fake! I haven't even finished shooting, and she wants me to move. Doesn't our time matter?"
Of course, these words were whispered in a small circle.
Neither Natalie nor Wendy's people could hear them.
The sea breeze blew softly, gently tousling Natalie's hair. She lifted her head slightly, her delicate chin raised, her profile elegant and beautiful. Natalie reached out to smooth her hair, and the photographer instinctively captured the moment.
Natalie's hair fluttered gently, making her look serene and mysterious, elegant and gentle.
Her skin looked like the most exquisite and precious gemstone. Even without retouching, it was flawless.
Wendy was waiting not far away, and her assistant came over to report, "Ms. Lewis, that Natalie has such a bad temper. I politely asked if she could take a break since you have an interview next, but she refused. She really doesn't respect you."
Wendy frowned slightly.
Today, she wore a form-fitting magenta sequin dress that accentuated her curves. The photography team planned to shoot a mermaid-themed series. This location was the best, but they arrived late, and it was already crowded.
Her gaze fell on Natalie in the distance. Natalie's skin seemed so exquisite that it almost glowed, momentarily dazzling Wendy.
Wendy's manager, Mira, said, "Wendy, just wait a bit. After all, we arrived late."
Wendy snorted, "What if I say no?"
Mira got a bit anxious, fearing Wendy would lose her temper. "Wendy, it's just a little while. I'll go ask Natalie when she'll be done, and then we can go right after."
