Chapter 312 Nightmare
Natalie thought, "Mom, are you hiding something from me?"
That night, she had a restless sleep and a vivid dream.
At an intersection, she saw cars shrouded in mist. Suddenly, a car rushed at her. She tried to dodge but it was too late. She braced for impact, but the car passed through her like she was a ghost. It was just a dream.
The scene shifted. She was at the small house behind the Cullen home. She heard a familiar voice, "Rosalie, I need to go out with Curtis this afternoon. I might be back late, so you and Natalie eat without us."
"Okay," Rosalie replied. "Drive safely and come back soon."
The mist cleared, and Natalie saw Stanley saying goodbye to Rosalie. A teenage girl, her younger self, came out. "Dad, when will you be back?"
Stanley smiled, "I'll be back tonight with something delicious."
"Then hurry," the girl said.
Natalie watched, shocked, recognizing the girl as her younger self. Suddenly, a wave of terror washed over her. She cried, "Dad, Mom, don't go. It's dangerous!"
Stanley hugged Rosalie and left. Natalie tried to warn him about the danger, but it was just a dream. Stanley got in the car and drove away.
The scene changed to a sharp turn. Natalie recognized it as the place where Stanley had the accident. She saw a car with the Cullen family's license plate and a truck speeding towards it. Jerry was in the truck, and Stanley, Ryan, and the driver were in the car. The vehicles collided right in front of her.
She felt immense sadness but couldn't cry. She woke up, covered in cold sweat. It was 5 a.m. The window was half open, and a breeze rustled the curtains. She sat up, breathing heavily. The dream felt too real.
She saw Stanley and Ryan leave in a car accident. Unable to sleep, she got up, drank some water, and took a shower. As the water flowed down her cheeks, Rosalie's diary flashed in her mind.
Why did Rosalie say Stanley took Ryan away for revenge? In Natalie's memory, Stanley left alone that day. According to Rosalie, Stanley did it on purpose. But why? Did Stanley know there would be a car accident?
It didn't make sense. Stanley couldn't predict the future. Even if he sensed danger, he wouldn't take his son with him.
