Chapter 578 He Trusts Her
Adrian reached out and gently brushed aside the strands of hair that had fallen over Natalie's forehead.
His gaze deepened.
"Natalie," he whispered hoarsely, "Don't be afraid."
Natalie seemed to hear him.
The frown on Natalie's face relaxed.
Adrian's phone rang, buzzing in his pocket.
He took it out and saw the name 'Brice' flashing on the screen.
Adrian didn't answer but hung up instead.
He sent Brice a text message asking Brice to type to him.
Brice: [I've searched through several layers of contacts but couldn't find Frank. It's like Frank vanished into thin air. I found out he owed Kent some loan shark money, but Kent said he went into hiding. I checked all the places Frank usually goes, but he wasn't there. It seems like someone is deliberately helping Frank.]
Brice: [Moreover, before I went looking for Frank, several other groups were also searching for him. One of them was Natalie's, her agent Heather, and another was from Alice's people.]
Adrian looked at the message.
As he suspected, Alice's people were also looking for Frank.
He knew Natalie was looking for Frank to clear her name.
He recalled that when he went to Blue Bar to find Frank, Frank insisted that the woman in the photo was Natalie.
It seemed that Frank had already been bought off by Alice at that time.
Adrian had found out that the woman in the photo was Alice, but he didn't want to believe it. In his mind, Alice had always been a kind girl; she had saved him and his mother.
Now, someone was telling him that Alice was a hypocritical and malicious woman. Adrian absolutely needed time to accept this.
Adrian needed solid evidence to break off his engagement with Alice.
At the third-floor office of Blue Bar, Heather opened her eyes and sat up, letting out a soft groan of pain.
Last night's activities had been too intense, and Heather felt her legs trembling.
She glanced at Yancy, who was still asleep.
She got out of bed and tiptoed to the bathroom, turning on the shower. The warm water washed away the soreness from her body.
Heather felt much better.
The bathroom door was left open, and Yancy walked in, hugging Heather. Heather pushed him away. "I'm covered in soap."
"Why didn't you wake me?" Yancy asked.
"Why should I wake you?" Heather retorted.
Yancy teased, "I should have woken up earlier. Let me help you with your bath."
Heather refused, "Oh, stop it. I have to go to work later."
Yancy asked, "Is your job to watch over an actress 24/7? Is it your boss? That actress named Natalie?"
"Not entirely. I have to review a script today, have a lunch meeting with a brand manager about an endorsement deal, and in the afternoon, Natalie has a commercial shoot. I need to be with her." Heather didn't trust Yvonne to handle it alone; she had to be there herself.
"You told me you would come to me last night, and I waited for you until midnight." Yancy bit her ear.
The bathroom was filled with steam as they both got into the bathtub.
Heather said, "Yancy, do me a favor."
Yancy said, "Don't get distracted. Are you really thinking about work right now?"
Heather gritted her teeth. "Then make it quick, and we'll talk after!"
