Chapter 369 Negotiation
Margaret and her friends all knew Avery. They hung out together, hitting up hot springs, playing cards, and doing beauty treatments. Honestly, they looked down on Avery but envied her for her amazing daughter, Alice. Alice was pregnant with Adrian's kid, and once she gave birth, she'd become Mrs. Howard.
The Cullen family had hitched their wagon to the wealthy Howard family, making everyone jealous.
The Howard family was the richest in Vachilit, with a business empire spanning thirty industries.
Recently, Margaret's family had just signed a deal with NexGen Innovations Inc., a Howard Group subsidiary.
Emma looked at Avery. "Mrs. Cullen, you're here. I was just about to finish up and come see you."
Margaret realized Emma had been delayed because of Avery.
Emma knew there were many managers at the Imperial Nightclub, but she and Melody mainly handled the waitstaff. Emma always treated people based on their status.
Emma had latched onto Avery, so she didn't take Margaret seriously.
But right now, Margaret couldn't afford to offend Avery.
Avery glanced at Emma. "You seem busy. I can't even find you." She looked around and understood what had happened in the private room, her gaze falling on Margaret's feet. "Mrs. Nelson, the waiter was just careless. Why get angry with a waiter?"
Margaret smiled. "You're right."
Since Avery had come to mediate, Margaret, wanting to avoid ridicule, told Emma, "Alright, I won't hold you up any longer. Go handle Mrs. Cullen's matters. As for this waiter, let it be. Be careful in the future; not everyone will be as easygoing as I am."
Dorothy immediately felt relieved, thinking she wouldn't be fired, and bowed repeatedly. "Thank you, Mrs. Nelson, thank you."
Emma invited Avery to her office and personally handed her a coffee. She knew why Avery was here and sighed. "Mrs. Cullen, Natalie is tough to deal with. You know, Melody likes her a lot. After all, she's Melody's person. It's not convenient for me to fire her."
Avery took a sip of coffee. "You didn't say that a few days ago."
Emma said, "Mrs. Cullen, please don't be angry. I'm trying to find a way."
Avery said, "Emma, whatever method you use, I don't want to see her here anymore." Not just here, in Vachilit, I wouldn't let Natalie find any job!
She wanted Natalie and Rosalie to leave Vachilit completely!
Emma explained, "Mrs. Cullen, this puts me in a bit of a bind, especially since our CEO has been coming here often lately. I can't act too openly. Mrs. Cullen, please give me a few more days, and I'll handle it properly."
Avery remarked, "Emma, I'm not here to chat. As long as you handle this well, you'll be rewarded."
"Yes, I understand." After all, Avery's daughter was about to become Mrs. Howard. Emma naturally didn't dare to offend Avery; she was eager to curry favor with her.
Melody had refused Avery, which meant she had offended Avery. Since Melody had pushed this opportunity to her, she naturally had to seize it.
Meanwhile, Lizzy went to the private room and found Alice.
Alice was playing cards with some friends. "Go back now? What's the rush? My mom's here?"
Lizzy replied, "Yes, Mrs. Cullen is chatting with the manager here."
"What's she doing here?" Alice looked at her cards. "I got it. I'll go back after I finish this round. You go out first."
"Yes." Lizzy was just a messenger. If Alice didn't want to go back, she couldn't force her. She had delivered Avery's message, and that was enough.
The less trouble, the better. Lizzy didn't want to get involved in these matters.
After all, Alice's temper was no better than Avery's.
Lizzy walked out of the elevator and saw someone. "Natalie."
