Chapter 1374 A Glass of Red Wine, Poured Over the Head

Cara Cooper frowned, "You better show some respect. Even if he can't see, he's still Isaac's son. Who do you think you are to insult Isaac? Your dad has to bow to Isaac when he sees him."

The group of socialites exchanged uneasy glances.

"Isn't it just because he has a powerful father?"

"Cara, do you think just because the Cooper family is cozying up to the Roach family, you can talk to us like this? A bastard child attending Kamille's birthday party? What kind of trash is allowed here now? I'll clean up the place for Kamille."

In the lounge area, Rachel rested her chin on her hand.

She was sipping her coffee when she heard a commotion nearby.

She looked over.

A woman in a pale yellow dress was pouring a glass of red wine over another woman in a pink gown.

Then, several security guards were trying to forcibly remove a girl.

The girl wore a pink fox mask and a light pink dress. As she struggled, her shoulder strap slipped, and she clutched her chest, stumbling.

The surrounding socialites and young men watched with amused expressions.

Not one of them stepped in to help her.

Rachel stood up and walked over, "What the hell is going on here?"

They all wore masks, but Rachel felt that the faces behind the beautiful masks were quite ugly.

Even with their exquisite makeup, they couldn't hide their ugly hearts.

She stood in front of the woman, "Who gave you permission to treat a guest like this? It can't be Kamille herself who told you to do this."

Using such vile methods to expel someone.

The two security guards exchanged glances, seemingly noticing Rachel's attire and hesitating to offend her.

Cara stood up, clutching her chest, "I'm fine, thank you."

She looked at Rachel, "You must be Mrs. Roach."

Hearing the title "Mrs. Roach," Rachel felt a bit uncomfortable. It was a strange name to her. She gave the woman a faint smile, "Are you okay? Go to the lounge and change your clothes. Your dress seems ruined. I happen to have a spare dress."

Rachel wasn't one to meddle in others' affairs.

But she couldn't stand this kind of behavior.

Besides, she had experienced despair and helplessness.

She wished that someone had come to help her during her darkest times.

So, she understood the feelings of the girl in the pink dress.

"Thank you," Cara apologized again.

"What's it to you?" The woman in the pale yellow dress sneered. She was the instigator of the incident, the one who had called the security to remove Cara.

"You disgust me, so of course I have to intervene," Rachel said bluntly.

The woman's face stiffened, even with the mask, her rigidity was palpable. She pointed at Rachel, "Don't think that just because you're Elmer's wife, I'm afraid of you. Isaac still has to cooperate with my father!"

Nearby, another woman chimed in, "Mila, don't stoop to her level. She might be some ugly woman jealous of you. Who in their right mind would marry into the Roach family?"

"Exactly, Mila. This woman and Cara are probably cut from the same cloth, both from questionable backgrounds. Let's not lower ourselves by engaging with them."

Mila Bailey finally calmed down, crossing her arms and pointing at Rachel and Cara, "You two, kneel down and lick the red wine off my shoes, and I'll let you go. Otherwise, you'll regret it!"

Rachel picked up a glass of red wine from a passing waiter's tray. She held the wine and looked at Mila, "Alright."

Mila was about to smile triumphantly when she was met with a sudden chill.

A glass of red wine was poured over her head.
