Chapter 913 A Sudden Surprise
After signing the contract, Natalie called Adrian to fill him in. There was a brief silence on the other end before Natalie spoke again, her voice softening. "I know I was supposed to come back today, but something came up, and the script is really good."
Adrian's voice was rough but gentle. "Do you have any idea how much I miss you?"
"I miss you too."
"Alright then, if you like it, go ahead and shoot. As your fiancé, I support you," Adrian said, his voice low and husky.
Natalie blushed and laughed softly. "What? I never agreed to that!"
"You’re wearing the ring I gave you, aren’t you? That's the truth, right?"
"Does that count?" Natalie teased. Hearing Adrian call himself her fiancé made her heart race like she was dreaming.
"It counts, and it doesn’t," he said.
"Huh?"
Adrian chuckled, "Natalie, I'll show you how much I love you."
'Once I break off the engagement with the Cullen family, I’ll give Natalie a grand proposal. I want the whole world to know that Natalie is my fiancée!' Adrian thought.
Natalie officially joined the cast of "Yesterday's Mist." Azalea had only been on set for a short time, and since filming had just restarted, it wouldn’t be too hard to reshoot. After shooting seven scenes in the morning and four more in the afternoon, Natalie was pretty wiped out.
That night, she got back to the hotel and noticed something was off. The slippers had been moved.
The crew had rented a luxury suite with one bedroom, one living room, one kitchen, and one bathroom. The shoe rack at the entrance looked like it had been messed with.
'Could it be a burglar?' Natalie wondered, biting her lip. The room was still dark since she hadn’t turned on the light.
She hesitated for a moment and then turned to leave, but she vaguely saw someone standing on the balcony, a tall and slender figure walking towards her.
Panicking, Natalie quickly opened the door to run out, but the man grabbed her fingers. She almost screamed out but then recognized the familiar scent.
Natalie's tense back trembled, and her voice quivered, "Adrian?"
"Can't you recognize me?" Adrian had flown over to surprise her. He missed her so much but didn’t expect to almost scare her. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close.
Natalie inhaled the familiar scent that gave her a sense of security, burying her face in Adrian's chest.
"I never thought it would be you. I thought a burglar had broken into my room." Natalie hugged Adrian tightly.
Adrian took the key card from her hand and turned on the light. The room brightened up. Adrian's long fingers gently lifted Natalie's chin, and he kissed her lips.
Adrian pressed Natalie against the wall, deepening the kiss.
They hadn’t seen each other for days, and it felt like forever.
Adrian's kiss was intense and fiery, and he only let go when Natalie was out of breath.
Natalie's cheeks were flushed, and her lips were bright red.
Even without makeup, Natalie's features were still exquisite and beautiful. Under the bright light, she looked like an enchanting fairy. Her eyes softened, and Adrian held her, asking, "Did you miss me?"
She panted lightly, "Yes."
