Chapter 1080 Psychological Clinic
After two weeks in the hospital, Natalie finally got back to normal, and Heather took care of her discharge papers.
Adrian's vitals were stable too, so they moved him to a regular room. Natalie stuck by his side every day, hoping he'd wake up soon.
The doctors had no clue when Adrian would come to. So, Natalie showed up daily, chatting about their past and sharing the latest news.
His existence was enough to make her happy.
Every day, Natalie would check his breath with her hand. Feeling that warm breath made her want to cry, and she couldn't help but hate Avery.
Avery had tried to kill Natalie, but since Adrian was in the car with her, he got caught up in it too.
Heather couldn't stand seeing Natalie blame herself, so she got her a psychologist for Saturday.
That morning, Heather drove Natalie to a fancy private clinic.
This place had great reviews online, known for its top-notch psychological counseling.
Natalie didn't want to go; she wanted to stay with Adrian.
Heather dragged her there anyway. "If I don't bring you here, you're gonna fall apart, Natalie. Get it together!"
The guy who greeted Natalie was a middle-aged dude with a kind smile, kinda like a college lit professor. He looked at her and said, "Hey, I'm Gilbert Harvey. If something's bothering you, feel free to share."
Natalie shook her head, thinking she was fine and didn't need this.
Heather chatted with Gilbert for a bit, and he got the gist. "I get it. You want Ms. Teeger to move past the car accident and find some light."
Natalie spent the whole morning in the music therapy room, but it just made her feel worse.
Heather was super worried.
After they left, a girl in a red dress came out of one of the rooms. She looked young, like a high schooler. She glanced at Gilbert and said, "That woman looked familiar."
"She's a famous actress named Natalie," Gilbert replied.
The girl frowned. "Natalie? Isn't she the one who had that car accident on Luminary Overpass? Her husband is Mr. Howard from Vachilit, right? You know, the famous Howard family?"
Mentioning the Howard family made the girl's eyes flicker.
Gilbert nodded. "Yeah, Adrian hasn't woken up yet, and his condition's not great. So, Natalie's having a tough time. Her friends brought her here for help."
"This Natalie is really lovesick," the girl in the red dress said. "If she comes back, tell her that if she wants to move on and not be stuck in pain, she can choose to forget everything."
To forget would be to escape the pain, but remembering it again would be a fresh wound.
Natalie had turned down all her work offers; she just wanted to stay by Adrian's side, waiting for him to wake up.
But Adrian had been in a coma for two weeks and still hadn't come around.
