Chapter 165 Mental Hospital

Natalie had just walked in when she heard Denise's voice, and she instinctively asked, "What's so strange?"

Susan chuckled. "Your sister works at a mental hospital. It's not surprising to encounter strange patients. There's nothing to talk about.

"Exactly, it's strange if there's nothing unusual."

Denise took a sip of water and mysteriously said, "That's the key. There's a non-mentally ill patient who recently arrived at the mental hospital, even rented out the entire top floor, with four or five bodyguards guarding the entrance. Only specific doctors are allowed in, it all seems very mysterious."

Hearing this, Natalie paused with her water cup.

It couldn't be so coincidental, could it?

She asked casually, "Denise, where does your sister work?"

"At Shoreview General Hospital, a small private mental hospital. I've been telling my sister to find another job, but she says the work there is easy, and the pay is good."

Natalie's guess was correct.

Denise's sister turned out to be a nurse at Shoreview General Hospital!

The mysterious patient on the sixth floor was Natalie's mother, Rosalie.

Natalie walked over, sat at the round table, and chatted with a few people, "Is the patient that strange? Has your sister seen the patient?"

"My sister is just a little nurse. The sixth floor is locked, so she can't see her at all. But my sister heard from the cleaning woman that there's a female patient inside, and the arrangement with the hospital is very mysterious."

The conversation shifted to other topics, and Natalie sat quietly on the side, thinking about how to rescue Rosalie. With Rosalie's health deteriorating, acting rashly was dangerous. Natalie wondered how things were going on Jerry's end.

Listening to the lounge's girls discussing topics ranging from cosmetics to handbags and jewelry, then jumping to the prominent Vachilit families and some gossip about certain families, she even heard Adrian's name occasionally mentioned, along with a few comments about him.

She stood up and glanced at her watch. "I'll head out first."

"My sister always wants me to help out at the hospital with the kids during my off hours. You know, can the kids at Shoreview General Hospital be considered normal? The pay isn't great, and I'd rather sleep at home."

As Natalie reached the door, she paused, turned back, and asked, "Denise, did you say something about Shoreview General Hospital hiring short-term workers?"

"Yes," Denise replied.

"I want to go," Natalie quickly said.

Natalie didn't expect an opportunity to arise so quickly.

"You want to go?" Denise widened her eyes. "Natalie, that's a mental hospital!"

Natalie smiled. "A little extra money won't hurt. I'm looking for a day job anyway, just hoping it won't clash with night shifts."

Denise didn't doubt Natalie and gave her sister Bonnie Coleman's number. "Here's my sister's phone number, just contact her."

"Thank you, Denise."

The next day, Natalie quickly contacted Bonnie.

With Denise's prior introduction, their communication went smoothly. Natalie only needed to go during the day to accompany patients, tell stories to the children, and get paid hourly.

After hanging up, Natalie was eager to go. She quickly changed into a different outfit and hurried out the door.

Natalie's home was behind the Cullen family's residence. The quickest route was through the small gate of the Cullen family's backyard. As she walked into the living room, she heard Alice's voice.

"Stop right there!"

Alice was only three months pregnant, but at this moment, she was slowly descending the stairs while holding onto the railing. To an uninformed observer, it might seem like she was about to give birth.

"Why are you in such a hurry? Planning something nefarious?"

Natalie stopped in her tracks and asked expressionlessly, "Ms. Cullen, do you have any orders?"
