Chapter 319 Simon

Five minutes later, Jason walked out of the office, wiped the sweat off his forehead, and sighed.

A bunch of managers and supervisors from the Imperial Nightclub were waiting outside. Jason waved them off. "Get back to work."

Emma sidled up to Jason, glancing at the CEO's closed door. "Mr. Duncan, just let us take a look. I've been here six years and never seen the Boss."

Melody, on the other hand, just walked away. At the Imperial Nightclub, curiosity could be dangerous. Emma's nosiness wasn't a good sign. If the Boss didn't want to be seen, so be it. Melody was fine with that.

Jason looked at Melody, then back at Emma. "Emma, look at Melody. Aren't you worried your curiosity will get you in trouble?"

"Mr. Duncan, I was just curious. I'm not like Melody. If I were, I wouldn't be stuck on the first and second floors for two weeks," Emma said, clinging to Jason's arm as they headed to the elevator.

"Emma, don't blame me. Melody's been here over ten years. I have to give her some perks."

Emma pouted, pressing against Jason. "You give her perks, what about me? If I'm still on the first and second floors next week, I'll be really upset."

Jason enjoyed the attention. "Alright."

In Jason's office, he quickly took off his jacket and pushed Emma onto the sofa.

After their romp, Emma asked, "Mr. Duncan, why did the Boss come this time?"

Jason lit a cigarette. "Who knows? He asked a few questions. I've barely seen him. He's young and ruthless, shows up on a whim. I contact him through his assistant. If it's not urgent, I can't reach him. I didn't even dare look up at him in the office."

His youth belied his powerful presence, making him an intimidating figure.

Susan saw everyone upstairs leave and felt frustrated. She had to confirm if it was him. But with all the bodyguards, she couldn't get close. She waited until her legs were numb before heading downstairs.

In the underground parking lot, she figured his car would be there. She'd wait and see him. She needed to know if it was him. Just one look, and she'd be done.

The garage was cold. Susan rubbed her arms and leaned against the wall by the elevator. There were lots of luxury cars, but she couldn't tell which was his, so she stayed by the elevator.

All night, people came and went, but she didn't see him. Finally, at 11 PM, the elevator doors opened again.

This time, it was the staff elevator. Two men in black walked out, followed by a guy in a baseball cap, brim pulled low. He was tall, slender, with broad shoulders.

Susan recognized him instantly. She ran over but was stopped by a bodyguard.

She struggled and shouted, "Simon Anderson!"

The man paused for two seconds, then kept walking to the car.

Susan yelled, "I know it's you! You've come back."
