Chapter 984 An Unexpected Call
Inside, it was a large bedroom.
Adrian gently laid Natalie on the bed, bending down to plant a soft kiss on her cheek.
Natalie giggled a bit, feeling tickled by his stubble, and turned her face slightly. "Stop it," she said, her voice softer than usual. "I still have to go to Curtis's birthday dinner tonight."
Adrian moved with a slow, elegant grace, his long fingers gently holding her chin. He looked so refined and noble, but the air between them was thick with tension. Natalie couldn't help but stare at his face; Adrian was just too good-looking. Spending so much time with him had made her immune to other handsome guys.
He lowered his head, his chin brushing against her neck, his voice a husky whisper, "Really?"
Natalie blushed, looking at his handsome face. "Yes," she replied, but her voice was barely a whisper.
Adrian raised his hand and playfully pinched her nose. "Say it again."
With her mouth slightly blocked, she mumbled, "Adrian, you—"
Before she could finish, Adrian cradled the back of her head and kissed her, stealing her breath away.
Natalie's long hair spread out, threading through Adrian's fingers, falling onto the gray bedspread. The room was dimly lit, adding to the intimate atmosphere.
Suddenly, Adrian's phone rang. He picked it up, frowning slightly.
After a moment's hesitation, he answered it on the second ring. Natalie saw the caller ID: Wendy.
She knew Wendy and Adrian were practically childhood friends, but it still made her heart tighten a bit.
Adrian didn't hide anything, chatting with Wendy about some entertainment industry stuff. Wendy wanted to invest in a movie but needed Adrian's help with the funds.
Natalie, sitting on the bed, leaned in and gently bit Adrian's ear. He wrapped an arm around her waist, his knuckles cracking slightly.
She could hear Wendy's voice on the other end, and a pang of jealousy hit her. With a hint of mischief, she kissed Adrian's chin.
Adrian's grip tightened, his gaze deepening as he looked at Natalie, seeing the playful glint in her eyes. He told Wendy, "I gotta go. We'll talk later."
Then he tossed the phone aside. "Natalie!"
"You talking to other women on the phone makes me jealous." Natalie said, tapping his nose with her fingertip.
