Chapter 203 Game
It was impossible for Adrian and Natalie to kiss in public for two minutes.
Many people turned their eyes to Alice. Alice was Adrian's fiancée, while Natalie was just a maid for the Cullen family. This was going to be interesting.
Alice forced a stiff smile. "Just take it as a little joke. Let it go."
"No way. That’s not what we agreed on before the game," a girl said discontentedly, "The point of playing games is the thrill. Adrian, you can't back out now."
"Exactly, Adrian never slacks off in his billion-dollar business deals, let alone a little game. Don't tell me you can't handle it," another girl chimed in.
Alice clenched her fingers tightly into a fist under the table. She was about to explode from anger at these people!
Diana and Sandra exchanged a glance. They hadn't expected things to turn out this way, with Adrian and Natalie holding the Ace of Hearts.
Especially Diana, she really regretted it. Diana knew Alice was probably cursing her in her heart now.
Natalie was originally sitting across from Adrian, separated by a not-so-wide table. Adrian looked at her, and their eyes met.
The crowd started to cheer, "Kiss! Kiss!"
"Kiss! Kiss!"
"Kiss!"
"Make out! Make out!"
Alice anxiously clenched her palms. "Adrian..."
Adrian stood up, and Alice quickly grabbed his hand. "Adrian!"
But Adrian ignored her. He walked around the table and stood in front of Natalie. Natalie raced her heart and had never imagined encountering such a situation in a place. Adrian slowly leaned down. With each inch closer to Natalie, her breath grew more tense. Adrian's hands were in the pockets of his dress pants and the collar of his ash-gray was shirt slightly open without a tie, giving off a lazy vibe.
Adrian lowered his head, his lips close to Natalie's ear.
Natalie's heart was beating violently.
"You didn't really think I was going to kiss you, did you?" Adrian's voice was only audible to the two of them. Suddenly, Natalie shivered.
She looked into Adrian's eyes, seeing mockery, disdain, and amusement.
Natalie's knuckles turned white from gripping so tightly.
She bit her lip hard.
It seemed like Natalie could bite her lip until it bled.
Adrian straightened up, his gaze lightly sweeping over the noisy crowd. It seemed as if the atmosphere instantly dropped to freezing point. He said, "I'll drink."
He chose to drink rather than kiss Natalie.
Alice's face instantly lit up with a smile, and Diana seized the opportunity to say, "Alice, Mr. Howard is so good to you."
Alice was very pleased. She looked at Natalie to savor the look of collapse and disappointment on Natalie's face, but there was none. Natalie only had the wind-tousled hair on her forehead, her expression still serene and gentle, with no extra emotion.
Seeing Adrian somewhat displeased, the people around didn't dare to cheer anymore.
Adrian walked to the table, opened a bottle of Vodka, and drank it down.
After drinking two bottles in a row, he spun the bottle on the table and said in a somewhat hoarse voice, "You guys continue playing, I'm done."
Alice said worriedly, "Adrian, are you okay?"
Adrian waved his hand and walked over to a lounge chair to sit down.
After Adrian left, Diana began to mock. "Who would want to kiss a maid? The thought of it is already disgusting."
"Exactly, I heard her mother is in poor health. Who knows if Natalie has any germs on her," the girls who were close to Alice chimed in.
Natalie seemed to wear an indifferent mask with no extra expression.
She was used to such cold mockery.
However, when they mentioned Natalie's mother, her eyes turned cold.
