Chapter 827 Video
Natalie paused for a second and said, "I know who that guy is."
Adrian raised an eyebrow. "You do?"
Natalie took a deep breath. "It's Carlos, John's kid."
Adrian asked, "How'd you figure that out?"
Natalie replied, "Wait, you knew already?"
She thought only she and Karen were in on this.
"Yeah, Alice and Carlos have something weird going on. How'd you find out?" Adrian wasn't mad when he discovered it; he was actually relieved. He never liked Alice, and her messing around with Carlos gave him a solid reason to break off the engagement.
Adrian was pretty stoked about it.
So, visiting Alice in the hospital and dealing with Avery and Curtis's scheming faces didn't seem so bad to Adrian anymore.
Natalie didn't answer Adrian's question right away. Instead, she said, "So, you came here early today just to tell me you're not involved with Alice?"
Adrian nodded. He was worried Natalie might get the wrong idea.
Natalie let out a sigh of relief. She walked over, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed Adrian on the cheek. "You could've just called me; no need to come all the way here."
Adrian was cooking pasta.
With one hand stirring the pasta, he wrapped his other arm around Natalie's waist and deepened the kiss.
Natalie's cheeks turned a bit red. If it weren't for the bubbling pot, Adrian wouldn't have let her go.
Adrian let her go, scooped out the pasta, and poured the sauce over it.
"Did you only make one helping? You eat it then," Natalie said, pushing the pasta towards Adrian.
"I ate on the way," Adrian replied.
Natalie started eating. Adrian's cooking was top-notch; even a simple dish tasted like it was made by a chef. She could only finish half of the helping, so Adrian naturally finished off the rest. Natalie was a bit surprised; Adrian's actions were so natural it made her blush.
Natalie remembered something. She stood up and said, "Wait here."
She went to the bedroom and grabbed her tablet, where she had saved a video Karen had given her.
It was a video from the Cullen family's underground garage with Alice and Carlos in it.
Natalie had been hesitant to show it to Adrian because she was worried he liked Alice and therefore wouldn't believe her.
But after the Blue Moon Lake Estate incident, Natalie knew there were many things between her and Adrian, but his feelings for her wouldn't change.
"This is a video Karen gave me. She accidentally recorded it when she went to visit Alice. Alice's legs were still injured at the time." Natalie placed the tablet on the table and played the video.
The video was taken from a distance, and it took about ten seconds to get closer. It was clear Karen was being very cautious.
Adrian saw a car appear in the frame, with a Howard family mark next to the license plate.
It was definitely a car from Howard family. No one could fake that mark.
After about ten seconds, the car started shaking, clearly indicating some activity inside. It was obvious what was going on, and the increasing volume made it impossible for the two people inside to explain their actions.
The video wasn't long.
Karen was very cautious.
She left after filming for less than a minute.
