Chapter 194 Meeting Jagger Again

Avery calmed down. She indeed despised Rosalie who had seduced her husband and been caught in the act. However, Rosalie couldn't die. If she did, Natalie would fight them to the bitter end, making Avery difficult to deal with. "You're right. I hadn't thought it through."

Avery grasped Alice's hand. "Aren't you going to Pearl Island with Adrian on Monday? Spend more time with him to strengthen your relationship. Don't miss such a good opportunity."

"I understand, Mom," Alice replied.

Natalie initially thought Daniel's invitation was just a casual remark. So she didn't take it to heart, continuing with her work. Unexpectedly, on Sunday, Natalie received the schedule for the next week and found she wasn't assigned any shifts. She immediately went to find Melody who told her, "Didn't you take leave?"

"I took leave?" Natalie widened her eyes. "When did I take leave?"

Melody lit a cigarette. "Mr. Murphy took it for you."

Only then did Natalie realize that Daniel had been serious about the trip to Pearl Island he mentioned three days ago. Leaving the office, Natalie immediately took out her phone and called Daniel.

"Daniel," Natalie said angrily, "did you take leave for me?"

"Yes, pack your things. We're leaving tomorrow," Daniel replied.

"Daniel, at the very least, you should have asked if I agreed," Natalie said.

"You didn't refuse last time, so I took it as a yes," Daniel said, "Just think of it as a getaway. I won't do anything to you. Natalie, you don't expect me to do something, do you? I'm a decent man!"

Natalie pursed her lips, amused and annoyed. "Daniel, you're turning the tables on me."

"Then it's settled. Pack your suitcase and bring your essentials. See you tomorrow," Daniel added.

Natalie sighed. "Alright."

Seeing her agree, Daniel smiled on the other end. "See you tomorrow then!"

Natalie returned to the changing room, changed her clothes, and prepared to leave. It was already late, and she wasn't scheduled to work tonight. After informing Denise and Susan, she got ready to go.

At the elevator door.

"Natalie, no shift tonight? Leaving so early?" A girl in an Imperial Nightclub waitress uniform carrying a fruit platter walked over. Both were waiting at the elevator door.

Natalie smiled. "Yes."

The girl smiled back, enviously. "That's nice. I'm swamped this week."

Natalie smiled. "Being busy is good to get more money."

Imperial Nightclub had four elevators on each floor, two for staff and two for guests.

The adjacent elevator opened, and Jagger walked out with Traylor.

Traylor's hand was hooked around Jagger's arm, their posture intimate. Traylor said, "Jagger, Richard and the others are already waiting in the private room."

Jagger glanced at his watch. "Alright, then we..." He hadn't finished speaking when he saw Natalie standing to the side.

Instinctively, Jagger withdrew his hand.

Traylor felt her hand empty, slipping from Jagger's arm. She glanced at Jagger and followed his gaze to see Natalie.

Jagger didn't move, standing at the elevator door.

He opened his mouth, his eyes fixed on Natalie. After a long while, he said, "You, you're off work?"

Traylor pursed her lips, her gaze wary as she looked at Natalie.

She felt a deep discomfort. Even though Natalie had broken up with Jagger, Jagger still thought of her!

"Jagger..." Traylor said.
