Chapter 196 Daniel Helps Natalie
Jagger couldn't believe that Natalie would be the kind of woman who was vain and materialistic. "Natalie, in my eyes, you've always been a gentle and kind girl."
He had known her for a long time, ever since Rosalie was hospitalized.
Natalie had always been a strong and kind girl.
"Is your boyfriend good to you?" Jagger asked.
"Very good," she replied.
But Jagger noticed that Natalie only responded coldly. He quickly said, "Natalie, did you lie to me last time?"
Natalie hadn't gotten into any rich man's car. She had just lied to Jagger to break up with him.
"You don't have a boyfriend at all, do you? You just wanted to brush me off, right? Is there something you're not telling me?" Jagger asked.
Natalie took a deep breath. "No. Dr. Kamel, you're overthinking it."
"No way, Natalie. Your eyes can't lie. I know you," Jagger said.
"Are you kidding me? We've only been together for a few days. Dr. Kamel, I really have to go," Natalie uttered.
"Yes, Dr. Kamel, you don't need to worry about my girlfriend." A male voice came through, and then Daniel walked over step by step. His gaze fell on Jagger's hand gripping Natalie's wrist.
Jagger was holding her wrist tightly. Daniel raised an eyebrow and said to Jagger, "Dr. Kamel, let go."
"Mr. Murphy?" Jagger was a bit surprised.
He slowly let go of her hand.
Daniel, wearing sunglasses and an expensive tracksuit, reached out and put his arm around Natalie's shoulder, affectionately touching her nose. "Honey, I called you, but you didn't answer. I thought you hadn't come down yet. My car is right next to us. Let's go."
"Okay,"Natalie replied.
Daniel held her as they walked towards a black Bentley.
Jagger, watching Natalie's back, turned away sadly.
The car door opened.
As soon as Natalie sat inside, she suddenly felt a cold gaze fall on her. She shivered and looked up to see Adrian, who was sitting inside with an air of aloofness and elegance.
Adrian was also here.
"Natalie, what are you thinking?" Daniel's hand was on her shoulder. "This is my brother Adrian. You've met him several times."
Adrian's icy gaze made Natalie want to escape.
"I don't want to trouble you. I'll just take a cab," Natalie said.
"Natalie, it's hard to get a cab now," Daniel said, patting her shoulder. "Get in, Natalie. I'll have the driver take you. It won't take long."
Natalie got into the car. She watched as Daniel turned to leave and quickly called out to him, "Aren't you getting in?"
"I'm going to the Imperial Nightclub to hang out with my friends. Call me when you get home." Daniel glanced inside the car. "Adrian, please take Natalie home. I'll be off now." Saying that, he closed the car door.
The temperature inside the car seemed to be getting a little colder.
Natalie tightly clutched her bag, her hand on the door handle. "No need to trouble you. I'll just take a cab."
However, the door didn't open.
Adrian's cold and distant voice sounded, "Drive."
The driver immediately responded and stepped on the gas.
Natalie's mind was entirely focused on how to get out of the car. When the car suddenly started, her body instinctively leaned forward. Just as she was about to hit the seat in front of her, a hand reached out, palm resting on the seat. Natalie's lips bumped into Adrian's dry, warm palm.
Adrian narrowed his eyes.
In his palm were Natalie's soft and moist lips.
Likewise, Natalie was stunned.
She held her breath for a moment.
Slowly, she sat up straight.
Natalie looked at the back of Adrian's hand, where the skin seemed to have turned a bit red. Indeed, the sudden force had made her lurch forward, and the impact was not small. Natalie was about to thank him when she saw Adrian pull out a tissue, wipe his hand, and then throw the tissue into the trash can.
Adrian seemed to find Natalie dirty.
