Chapter 551 How Do You Want Me to Thank You
Yancy shot Frank a look, "You hooked up with Alice? Prove it, man. She's loaded, and you're just a street thug."
Frank got all riled up talking about it. "Yancy, you have no idea. Alice is a freak in bed. We even did it at the Blue Bar once. I got a video."
Yancy raised an eyebrow, "Send me the video."
Frank hesitated but knew better than to refuse. "It's at my cousin's place. Didn't wanna keep it at my crib. Alice tried to buy it off me and wanted me to delete it. I was smart and kept a backup."
Yancy leaned in, "From now on, you stay put at the Blue Bar. I don't know who you pissed off, but someone's gunning for you."
Yancy was just trying to scare him.
No one actually wanted Frank dead, but a lot of folks had been sniffing around for him lately. Yancy figured it had to be about the video and decided to keep Frank under his watch.
Frank's face went pale. "Yancy, you gotta help me out." He'd crossed too many people and couldn't figure out who was after him.
He had no choice but to rely on Yancy.
Yancy nodded, "Stay at the Blue Bar, and I'll keep you safe. Keep your pie hole shut."
Frank nodded frantically. "Alright. I got it."
As Yancy was about to leave, Frank called out, "If I'm staying here, can my cousin come over? Haven't seen her in days, and I miss her."
Yancy smirked, knowing exactly what Frank was up to.
It wasn't his cousin; it was Frank's old flame.
Yancy said, "Keep your 'cousin' quiet."
Frank replied, "Understood."
This room was Yancy's office.
Yancy opened the door and saw Heather already lounging on the sofa.
Yancy walked over. "Got the video you wanted."
Heather smiled, "Thanks."
Yancy added, "I made sure Frank stays at the Blue Bar, so no one else will get to him. The other group you're worried about won't find him."
Heather looked relieved. "Thanks, Yancy."
Her voice sounded nothing special but with a regular, slightly husky tone. Still, the way she said "Yancy" sent a shiver down his spine, making him feel oddly comfortable.
Yancy stepped closer. "I don't need money, nor a thank you."
Heather looked a bit surprised, eyeing Yancy.
Yancy had that sun-kissed skin, like he spent all his time at the beach. His blonde hair was long enough to cover his eyes, giving him a bit of a bad-boy vibe. His nose was sharp, and his features were chiseled.
Yancy moved closer, catching a whiff of her currant-scented perfume. "If I'm not wrong, the other group that came looking for Frank this afternoon was sent by Alice, and you're on the opposite side, right?"
Heather didn't bother denying it. Yancy had already figured it out. "My boss is Natalie."
Yancy repeated the name, Natalie. It rang a bell.
He wasn't much for the internet or news, but his crew was. A few days ago, one of his guys mentioned that Natalie was a stunner, probably a celeb.
Yancy smirked, "I spent all afternoon tracking down Frank and dropped $300,000 to buy him off Kent. Now, I've blocked Alice's crew from finding him. So, how are you gonna thank me?"
Heather's eyes narrowed, "How do you want me to thank you?" She wasn't some naive girl.
Yancy leaned in, his voice dripping with suggestion, "When a guy helps a girl, how do you think she should thank him?"
