Chapter 499 Kneel And Apologize
As soon as Samantha dropped that bomb, the room lit up with chatter.
"Man, that's cold."
"Samantha's got some nerve. She ain't even made it big yet, and she's already acting like a diva."
And to top it off, Samantha was holding up the shoot, making the crew grumble.
Catching all the side-eye and whispers, Samantha got even more ticked off and jabbed a finger at Natalie. "Natalie, if you wanna keep your gig at Dynamic Entertainment Media, get Heather outta here!"
Tessa, riding Samantha's wave, chimed in, "Yeah, Natalie, get her out. She's gross."
Heather's face went beet red with rage.
In the studio, Samantha was putting on a solo act, while the other person in the drama was just chilling, scrolling through her phone. Natalie rubbed her temples, stood up, and shot Samantha a frosty look. She sauntered over, step by step. "If anyone's getting booted from Dynamic Entertainment Media, it's Tessa."
She planted herself in front of Heather, giving Samantha the once-over. "You're the one screwing up the schedule and mouthing off, you and Tessa. I've had it with you, Samantha."
Her voice was soft but packed a punch, like a jolt straight to the heart.
Samantha was caught off guard for a sec, then snapped back. "You think you can lecture me, Natalie? Who do you think you are?"
Before she could finish, Natalie slapped her.
The smack echoed through the studio.
The deputy editor's jaw dropped.
The photographer froze.
Samantha was still processing, her cheek on fire. Tessa shrieked, "Natalie, how dare you hit Samantha!"
Samantha's eyes went wide, clutching her stinging cheek, ready to swing back, but Natalie grabbed her hand and slapped her again.
Samantha stumbled, Tessa catching her, both cheeks blazing. She couldn't wrap her head around the fact that sweet little Natalie had the guts to hit her.
Samantha yelled, "Natalie, are you nuts?"
She glared at Natalie, but after two slaps, she was a bit spooked.
Natalie, ice-cold, said, "Apologize to Heather."
She didn't even look at Samantha, like she wasn't worth her time.
Heather was floored, not expecting Natalie to step up for her. "It's okay, Natalie, I'm good."
She couldn't believe Natalie had slapped Samantha twice. What if Lydia found out?
Samantha shook with rage. Apologize to Heather? No way.
Samantha spat, "Natalie, you hit me, you're toast. I won't let this slide!"
Natalie flashed a quick, dazzling smile. The photographer, snapping away, caught it. Looking at the shot, he couldn't help but gush, "Wow, stunning. That smirk is pure gold."
Natalie didn't seem fazed by Samantha's threats. "What are you gonna do?"
She actually looked a bit intrigued.
Samantha seethed. "Natalie, you hit me, you'll pay. Lydia's gonna make sure you never work here again! You'll never land another role at Dynamic Entertainment Media! You'll be begging on your knees!"
